  1. features a fair few skylines....last night at knockhill. Car was running sweet as a nut thanks to some weekend work from The Garage in Wishaw. Clutch was the weak point - but a new one is in the pipeline. Didnt take the car above around 0.8bar so it wasnt stretching its legs at all on the GT2860R's Some Vids: SOC001 : 58Mb - 13mins long. R32 GTR on cut slicks and Wet track. Lap Times after initial out lap. 78s 73s 69s 73s 72s 73s 73s 68s as you can see in the vid there was a fair amount of traffic. SOC002: 32Mb, 6min long. R32 GTR on cut slicks and drying track. You can really hear the clutch slipping and then the brakes juddering in this one Lap Times after initial out lap. 74s 65s 70s traffic again... Oh, and sorry about the hand waving from me in the last vid... i must be Italian Fee buggered up the camera on her runs so didnt get any vid. I think she was quicker than me though. Didnt take any pics either :/
  2. Fee driving during SIDC trackday in the morning.... just warming up http://www.trackscotland.co.uk/vid/sidc/SIDC001.wmv right click, save as Me driving..... http://www.trackscotland.co.uk/vid/sidc/SIDC002.wmv 1st lap 66s, 2nd 64s, 3rd 63s.....
  3. any of Fee in the No43 gunmetal Skyline
  4. prob not that long. Will use the slicks most of the time in the dry though, just cant run them in TimeAttack

  6. 10pots :/ That not a bit overkill? The skyline is still running std size 300'odd mm discs and 4 pot calipers. Better fluid, Braided lines, MS brace, DBA 4000 discs and Ferrodo DS 3000 pads. Seems alright for the current power.
  7. Aye, it was a pity we didnt get to do the whole session.
  8. Some pics and vids from the evening.... hosting on pics changed to my own site pics taken by Ross at www.quantum-capture.co.uk , see the rest here - http://www.flickr.com/photos/quantumcaptur...57600447098197/ Vids http://www.trackscotland.co.uk/vid/hm/HM22062007_1.avi - InCar footage from R32GTR running 0.95bar, featuring Nova, Integra, Elise, Noble, Impreza, 911, kit car. The impreza seems to love racing on straights. Was behind him a few times, but he was running quicker on the straights but much slower on the corners LOL (kenny off here yeah? What were your lines all about at the end of 2nd vid The car seems pretty nippy on the straights though, if i was running upto 1.2 bar i would have been giving you more fun LOL ) and http://www.trackscotland.co.uk/vid/hm/HM22062007_2.avi InCar footage from R32GTR running 0.95bar, featuring Cossie Saph, Rage Buggies x3, Mustang, Lambo Murcielago, Impreza, 911, ki car. Car was handlign well with its new front discs, but developed a horrible blue smoke from the exhaust... i hope its a turbo, not the engine. See http://trackscotland.co.uk/forums/viewtopic.php?p=976#976
  9. If we (fee and I ) got a 22B i think it would sit in the garage most of the time, and be used as a weekend car in the summer I would still like one but the new house and skyline are a bit money hungry at the moment. If fee fancies fundign a treat i'll not complain though **** it... Fee - If you get a bonus of any decent size you know what to do. PS... they have the same IHI turbo (as STi IV TypeR) as far as i know, not smaller.
  10. part two of the vid... can see it eat up the gap on the impreza on the corners then take it easy with it on the straights http://trackscotland.co.uk/vid/knockhill2.avi Is this the 'toaster' talked about in the other thread, or earlier in this one? See the flames coming out of it on the exit of duffus
  11. Fee has re-edited the video... a lot better quality now http://trackscotland.co.uk/vid/knockhillclip1.avi You can see she is taking it very easy. Its all nice and clean, no moments etc Car looks very very stable
  12. yeah, it is ok/normal for new pads to get a bit smokey during bedding in. Fee doesnt quite get it though and moans about me braking so severely :/ Prob a good job that it was just her there... i would have kept the car out as the probs dont seem to be too serious, but no doubt i wouldnt have helped
  13. great looking RA there, very clean. Anyone got pics of Fee/Skyline?
  14. polished and ready to go now just waiting for the bonnet decal to be made then it will be shipped Fee :- Have you done any of those wee jobs yet? Its easy enough to remove the pass seat to paint the floor As the seat needs the angle ajusted anyway....
  15. Its still a baby.... running 1.2bar (maybe just run 1.1 or even 1.0bar till you get used to it). No idea on the power its making.... maybe 470 flywheel, 400 whp dunno :/ Still think the dastek rollers underead it a fair bit when it was on.... 283 fly, 200whp If anybody is brave enough to go out as a pax can you please report how the car feels? Fee's about as descriptive as a slug 'How were the brake, Any fade' - Fee 'they were ok' 'How did it handle, any better than last time? Did you play with the torque controller' - Fee ' dont know, felt ok' The main parts i'm wanting to know about is handling.... Its had new discs, flexi lines, suspension since last outing. I think thats going to be way more noticable than the small power increase for now.
  16. here are some previews of the fuel system from RIPS in New Zealand... http://www.ripsltd.com Its not finished yet, will be stripped and polished up etc. Its runnign twin pumps good for 450bhp each.... I'm not going to be running them anywhere near max though.... just over kill really. The surge tank is to avoid any fuel surge issues and maybe enable the car to keep running on track properly under 1/2 tank full. I'm planning on getting a twin entry fuel rail, and using one of the HICAS oil lines as a return line.
  17. that pics were taken back in Oct 2006. We took the impreza up to Aberdeen to pick the skyline up. Wasnt for sale then, only been put up for sale a few days ago.
  18. aye thats me Hmmmm not too healthy ex-passenger side front disc. They were wrecked at my last knockhill outing, but i just thought they were warped. They were not cracked after that, but must have just put them over the edge on sunday with the cold 1/4mile braking.
  19. new Head, Inlet, Exhaust and throttle body gaskets Project Mu front discs.... gay colour.... Just to be used as a stop gap. Cant justify spunking another 1k + on the car just quite yet LOL. I'll go to a bigger 6pot+ setup once the car requires them. Just needed new discs as i wrecked a standard set at the last hot marques day. The are like those wee crisps... dont know if you still get them... disco's APP front and rear braided steel brake lines Tomei rod bolts
  20. yup. It was a bit blustery... in the wrong direction I was pleansently surprised by the skyline not running full potential boost either... could have run 1 bar but have probs with it spiking to 1.1 if i turn it up... need to re-adresss the pipes to the solenoid unit. Just realised why Fee was running so slow (13.5) You had all the tools in the boot! 40x socket set, big tool bag and a car battery jump starter LOL Whoopsi! Must have been about 15kg extra! Kez - whats the spec of yours? i didnt get to race any impreza's bar Fee Fai - sorry if i appeared a bit grumpy.... i was hungover and feckin frozen
  21. PS.... i thought this was SIDC.... so why the.....
