RS Grant
Went down at the weekend and bought Impreza No. 6 from Englandshire... needs a couple of small jobs done and maybe a few small mods to make it mine and put an even bigger smile on my face!! But, gotta say, its nice to be back!! ...it even manages 300 miles to a tank of fuel which is roughly twice what my old Hawkeye did?! MY00 UK Turbo PPP+ Cheers, Grant Link to comment

RS Grant
Thanks guys.. 'tis defo a clean one. MM, if we're talking Knockhill MPG, then the SpecG Hawk struggled to do more than 90 miles (including the trip from Dundee) to a tank!! Dale, you're right..... I honestly had disregarded another Classic and was planning to go the sensible route of A4 Avant, BMW Touring etc.. however.. this one popped up and has had quite a bit of cash money spent on sensible upgrades already, in addition to quite a tidy 'OE' spec too. So I couldn't say no. Cheers, Grant Link to comment
euan_r
nice purchase, properly clean classics are becomming rarer. ps. it always starts off as just a few bits and pieces......... Link to comment

scooby222
welcome back and well done on resisting for so long now come clean on the spec,as Dipsy said thats a six speed gearknob and looks like the lifter for reverse under it which suggests more than a gearknob swap...... Link to comment

LOL!! ...yea I remember JW, the sight of the 340 holding me up (sorry, pulling away ) still haunts me. I think it was because of the pops and bangs to be honest, seem to remember AndyF saying it was so severe on my car because it he'd thrown a fair bit extra fuel through as the SpecG was the test mule for trying to get the pops and bangs on the 2.5. RS Grant
very very nice spec mate and well done on a 49k classic in dark blue ,mmmmmm and youve a few touches of your own in mind?? eeek! Yea, nothing major.. certainly nothing power-wise at the moment, couple of small things I want to change like the wheels, maybe roll bars etc.. just plan on enjoying the car at the moment to be honest. Nice spec .Watch your speed with 5/6 on Jdm 6 speed gearbox Tell me about it... doesn't seem to let up to be honest. Had a run-in with an 04-plate Audi RS6 on the M6 coming home, twice!! ...from 50mph to the other side of the speedo it kept him honest... was only when we were solidly into instant ban territory that he started to slowly slip away from me. Got a smile and a big thumbs up from him after the 2nd run. Nice spec for a "nearly standard" car Yea, its just got a little extra in its locker than standard.. nothing to worry the big boys.. but enough to put a smile on my face when I get the chance to give its legs a stretch in the evening or at weekends.
