  1. Steve Walkers Bodyshop in Bathgate are good.
  2. I've got a set of 4 second hand shocks (front and rears) in decent condition - post here: http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=147106 Cheers Richard.
  3. Yep - I also listed mine on here and Scoobynet - always worth a shot as the above post shows.
  4. Sorry it's not sold yet - very frustrating. What age/spec is it? I sold mine after two weeks on pistonheads - ended up having 3 interested parties and 2 firm offers. Listed for £3,800 and took £3,400 (which was actually the lower of the two offers by £100 but I liked the guy more, he really wanted to get into the whole ownership scene and I preferred my car went to a 'good home'). The price was a good bit lower than other cars that age (2001 bugeye running 306bhp) but I also think I was lucky in that with the mods (and it being a bugeye wagon) that it appealed to a certain subset. I think shifting a standard car in this market is a tough ask. Whilst I was sorry to see it go, I'm pleased it went so quickly as I wasn't expecting it. Ended up buying a Golf Mk5 GTi with 31k miles on the clock yesterday loaded with kit (£5k of factory fitted extras). Best of luck selling - my only advice is to probably drop the price further. Richard.
  5. Well, I'm a numpty - I should have checked when I picked my car up but Duncan did fit whitelines to my wagon as a replacement - but it was the alloy ones he's fitted as opposed to the non-alloy whiteline ones I had on the car before. Got the say the car feels and sounds great now. Apologies for the confusion! Cheers Richard.
  6. Yep - that was me - picked my car up from them this morning.
  7. My wagon was in with Duncan and Alex getting serviced yesterday - can't praise them highly enough
  8. I thought my struts were banging so managed to source a secondhand (35k miles) set of struts for my bugeye wrx. However, when I had the car into hypertech yesterday to get them changed Duncan found it was my droplinks and my current struts are fine. So, I've got a set of secondhand struts (4) if you're interested in them for £150 (what I paid for them). Not sure if they fit on an STI. PM if you're interested. Cheers Richard.
  9. I thought it was my struts that we knocking all over the place, but when my car was in Hypertech yesterday getting serviced Duncan found it was all 4 drop links were knackered. They were the non-alloy whiteline ones and Duncan said he's only recommend the alloy whiteline set. Edited.
  10. Very nice and clean machine - love wagons
  11. Well, after lots more thinking I am still going to sell my wagon, but to replace it with a newer one - ideally a 2005 facelift (blobeye front but the upgraded interior) wagon with PPP - seems to be a few on pistonheads for around the £7k mark.
  12. After 7 years of Scooby ownership in the last decade, I'm fancying a change. Keen on getting a coupé that can fit a couple small kids in the back (toddlers) for the odd short trip. Got to say that I've always really liked the latest Audi TT and a 2006/7 model is around £17k now. Hard to know what other options for a coupé as I'm not keen on a BMW. Did have a drive in a Mazda RX8 a few years ago and the handling was superb - but it does drink petrol. Saying that you can get 4 year old ones for under £8k. With higher fuel costs, road tax, etc, it's actually cheaper to spend double the amount on a TT (assuming you sell again in 3-4 years) - but you do end up with more capital tied up in the car. Once I get my suspension fixed on my wagon I can also see myself keeping it for another year!
  13. Seems I stepped off the gas too early doing the output run and Andy thought it should be just over 310. I did ask him to do a very conservative map (I only really wanted 300) as I use the car everyday for work and wanted it to last - I'm also just running a standard WRX TMIC - and would ideally need a STi TMIC to get a comfortable 330+. Cheers Richard.
  14. Thanks It will be a shame to see if go (if I do manage to sell). Looking on Autotrader tonight has some lightly modifed old (02/03) newage models for almost £5k - but I'm not sure how well they will sell.
  15. After having my current wagon for close on five years I'm thinking of a change but need some help on pricing my car for sale. It's in good condition (serviced and looked after by Duncan at Hypertech) and is a MY01 Bugeye wagon in blue. Registered in Feb 2001, so just £190 to tax. It's done 99,500 miles and I've had it since 40,000 miles. Virtually all the miles I've done have been motorway miles. Modifications: VF35 sti pink injectors sti up-pipe (ported) Ported and wrapped headers Prodrive sportscat downpipe Walbro Fuel Pump 255 Turbo to intercooler 'Y' pipe decat centre pipe whiteline droplinks whiteline rear ARB interior boost gauge (prosport on an A-pillar mount) Parrott bluetooth handsfree kit Subaru dog guard Subaru boot liner Twin boot spoilers Front metal radiator mesh remap from AndyF (306 bhp) The suspension is getting tired (and banging a bit) so having the shocks and springs replaced next week plus a service done. So, any thoughts on what I should be asking for? £3,000? Less, more? Cheers Richard.
  16. Very nice What sort of ball park price did she cost?
  17. Ah - thanks Mark. So possibly should be different, but they fit.
  18. I was looking to buy some prodrive springs from Scoobyparts (good offer on just now) but they say that it's saloon only and not wagon. I've got a MY01 bugeye - does the saloon and wagon have different springs? Cheers Richard.
