What a bloody car

After my wee test drive i think Jim is being slightly conservative with his power estimates

Truly awesome machine

Right up there with Callum's Millenium Falcon

Seems like everyone is getting behind the wheel of this bad-boy! Jealous? Me? NEVER! Except all the times when I am!

When he switched on the Anti Lag System when i pootled through the Clyde Tunnel at 20mph had me shaking like a leaf with excitement, so much so i had to pull over for a smoke

Spool on the 321T is awesome considering it is still 2 litre capacity.

Chassis feels so tight compared with a classic and it stops on a halfpenny, this car is making me consider my infamous Classic rules warcry.

15 out of 10 Jim

well thats jimser away from mines

by feck, driving his car is like having a pet doberman which is dosile, gentle when it hits boost it likes poking the doberman in the eye with a pen, it just wants to rip your arms out of their sockets, then batter you with them

there is no lag, every single gear it like warp speed 9 and i wasnt using all the rev range

it's bloody monster, you need 100% concentration, one lapse and it WILL kill you, jesus my heart is still racing and hands shaking

glad you liked it mate, makes all that hard work worthwhile(not sure about all those burgers though) :rotfl:

A sticky moment keeps your heart beating m8....i'm fine but was not wanting to see anything happen to your car m8..

You know it is as you've been there already lol

By god sake this car can shift......spool up from the 321T is fantastic and i can only dream of that from my set up but once my car is on song..it's really shifting to the limiter!

Thanks Jim for the shot and it was totally sensor over load..you really need to be 100% to drive this beast.

Enjoy it Jim. Good things come to those who wrap cars round lampposts?

cheers for the reminder stephen,my only dilemma is what to replace it with if i do it again?

Posted

You were unlucky with that last one Jim, but it looks like it's worked out for you mate.

Replacement - Subaru Brat with an 06 STI running gear swap.

And I'll have an even bigger turbo!

ffs john give me a chance lol.but if i do then the 2.5 goes very well with a 321t blowing it along

yea definately mate but if i was doing it again it would be the bug spec c again.

nearly classic weight with a stiffer chassis, quality big chap!

well thats the end to this thread.

set 2 targets when sourcing parts /speccing the car,500bhp and a 1/4 mile in the 11's.

made the 11's yesterday and the car on the road is probably 500bhp or thereabouts, dont know

if i'll put it on the rollers to be sure but happy enough with the outcome.not bad for standard internals

and still using top mount!

til stage 2 bye bye :D

Well done Jim. I know there was a lot of time and effort went into planning the thing never mind the actual construction. All the research and careful sourcing of bits clealry paid off. You just need to learn to drive the thing now.
