Month and a bit left until Doune John. Will it be ready?

I appear to be support crew for my mate as he's only gone and filled in the forms and sent his entry away.

Technicaly not true, Andy had 'MY' ecu on his Fatboy, so it is in fact second hand :rotfl:

Did you buy the roll cage or make it yourself .The weld joints are perfect and do you move about when welding so there not to much heat in one place case any thing buckles or warpes.Looking good

Your running out of excuses not to start the 'Front suspension to inner cage '

John - he's entering a westfield megablade. It goes well at Knockhill, and it ran some good times at a sprint round ingliston last year. It is currently undergoing some front suspension surgery to hopefully improve it more for this year.

Although he's having to stop watching the Doune videos on youtube. Feck me it's tight.

It's not the King of the Hills for no reason, if you are fast at Doune you can be fast anywhere..........

If you are on the limit, Scary Place, end of !!

Have been sorting out some bits for a friends car today so not managed anything on mine, but did receive my new Fuel tank (and it's twin Sister) These were made to my own design by MJ Engineering (Scotland) based just north of Aberdeen.

Excellent work and could not have been any more helpfull if they tried.

The idea is to give me a tank with a long range. My current tank is 10 litres, it does 3-4 laps of Knockhill on full chat with this tank, note to self, speak to A Forrest about that  So idea is, I can use in competition with Min. fuel (circa 5 litres) with no surge and no need for a second pump/swirl pot arrangement (weight).

The big tabs will be trimmed to suit as will the floor plate, which is offset to centre the tank in the spare wheel well, picking up on the 4 high points in there that normally support the spare tyre

It's 30 litres when full and will be usable on the Sprints and hills at circa 5 litres(kg) with no surge.

Yes but it weighs bog all and will run min fuel too, and if I feel like driving to Aberdeen (unlikely) I'd only need to fill up once at Dundee :)

Car will also have the option of both tanks too.

My new ECU has more whistles and bells than my 'Old' one I'm told :P:lol:

ohh whats the new one got that yer old one hasnt then? i`ll maybe send andy a PM and we can come to some kind of arrangement with the newer one

Both tanks John! You might even be able to get a lap of the ring with that arrangement!

Looking forward to seeing it in action at the events. Hopefully I'll be at most of them in my role as junior trainee spanner monkey for haventgotascooby racing. I better tell him I've given his car a team name.
