Traffic is building nicely and hopefully this is leaving the technophobic Squiggle to get on with more important organisation stuff without spending his life posting the same thing on umpteen dozen forums (that time is now replaced by me constantly hassling him for info )

colzo Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 The site is looking great and this is going to be THE talking point until August and in years to come! The petrol supply thing was a question I was going to ask. Shell will be rubbing their hands when we queue up!
micra_wrc Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 wow, just had a look at the map showing the route and its a lot of mileage........ I'd better not drink too much that day, don't think you guys would be pleased if I have to stop and use the toilets every half hour!

sKunk Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 Can you add the link http://www.mcrae-gathering.co.uk/ to the first post in this thread? Makes it a lot easier to find.
HairyDJ Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 Been camping there for a week every year for the last 11 years for a music festival i attend so I don't see any reason why I wouldn't use it again. Must be the Cropredy Festival then! Managed to get to a semi-private gig in late 2005 that the guys did in the Church to raise money for the bell restoration - magic evening with a load of Fairport Convention goodies getting sold too. Cheers, David
nanaki Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 now there is a man who knows his gigs. indeed it is that same festival. i wouldn't give up that one week a year for anything else.
scouk Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 wow, just had a look at the map showing the route and its a lot of mileage........ I'd better not drink too much that day, don't think you guys would be pleased if I have to stop and use the toilets every half hour! heh! yeah When I first heard about the idea thought way cool! quick trip down teh M6... Nope... The router is taking in the sights! I don't mimd too much given the event.. But a schedule for the day may need to be worked out.. Esp at 60mph leaving at 10am with I imagine a couple stops along the way...
rallye6 Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 just read the article, on page 15 of this weeks motorsport news. ( The scottish section of the subaru Impreza drivers club is organising a memorial run as a tribute to colin McRae. ) by Jo Holland
micra_wrc Posted January 23, 2008 Posted January 23, 2008 al, i'm pretty sure that a schedule will be published get used to checking the official website for updates, there will be an answer for the usual questions
ur.a.bus Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 has anyone booked camp site yet? will i need to or think penty of spaces to turn up on the day?
HairyDJ Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 has anyone booked camp site yet? will i need to or think penty of spaces to turn up on the day? Play safe and get it booked whether you're tent or hotel, there is quite heavy booking in the area due to BTTC running at Silverstone all weekend. I'm busy pushing some local sites, hotels, curry houses etc. into sat-nav databases - http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/modules.php?name=POIs - if you go there and pretend to submit a new site, you can actually use it as a map / POI tool to browse an area. Cheers, David
Big Gordon Posted January 26, 2008 Posted January 26, 2008 Do we know roughly how many miles the full route is??
