ed-209 Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 (edited) Don't know if this place would be close enough only £50 for a single room http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g1...re_England.html Good reviews Also Travel lodge £39 for a twin room or double at http://www.travelodge.co.uk/find_a_hotel/h...erwellValleyM40 Only 10 miles away from Banbury. Worth a look maybe. P.S Count me in Grant. Edited January 14, 2008 by ed-209
nanaki Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 Well i highly recommend a wee camp site 5 mins (3 miles) outside Banbury. Its called Barnstones and is in the small village of Great Bourton. Been camping there for a week every year for the last 11 years for a music festival i attend so I don't see any reason why I wouldn't use it again. Toilets and showers available on site. Nice we pub only 2 mins walk and your only 5 mins from Banbury its self..... wishing i was there now. If i remember its only about £6-£8 a night for a tent.
the squiggle Posted January 14, 2008 Author Posted January 14, 2008 Sounds like a damn good recommendation to me Looks like Bo Peep may be getting blown out on this occasion

Danger of electrocution for a start although Porcelin is a good insulator but the mess you would make of the TV would be unbearable and not to think of the poor maid that has to clear up after you.
rallyfever Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 Sounds like a fitting tribute to my hero, I have just been on the Premier Inn website and booked the night of the 30th, If you're wanting sometwhere close and comfy I would get onto it asap as I can see this getting booked up seriously quick. The trip down should be an amazing experience with hundreds of Scoobs travelling in convoy. I am sure it will attract some attention from the media, maybe we can get some attention to it beforehand so the public know when and where were gonna be, we could raise a good amount for the charities that way. Get yer skates on chaps and chapasses as I can see this being the hightlight of the Scooby year. Gary
andy Posted January 14, 2008 Posted January 14, 2008 I should be in the position to put the website for this live tomorrow. It will undergo continuous work after that and will have new features added to it as we go on and think of more things! However, I want to get it up and running while this is still fresh in everyone's minds. It will have a mailing list you can subscribe to to get the latest news direct to your Inbox. There will also be an online shop where stickers and maybe some other things are available once details on them are finalised.
zeolite Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 Bloody hell. I nip off to the other side of the world for a few weeks and I find that everything happens when I am away. Count me and Mrs Z in Grant/Andy. I will book holidays to make sure I am not in Utter Pradesh or somewhere when the time comes. I am up for any organising/co-ordinating that may be required. Can't do anything about accom until I get back though.

Already added a link from my own site And considering making up the big sticker for across my bonnet over for the snowman rally weekend in inverness in february to try and promote the event! Had the Snowman Rally logo on the bonnet last year and had wee kids walking past asking if it was a real rally car w00t!! So the sticker will certainly attract attention! (just a pain to polish the marks out after removing it..)
