But get on and ask a question ! I love the way it winds some of the guys up! Still want to convoy (2 is enough for a convoy isintit) to the meet 2morrow??? Ill be leavin Habbieville about 7 20pm.

  10. Magic. Lets try it at the next meet. Dave you can use the hire car as a practice vehicle for some of the more tricky stunts.
  11. Dont worry I liked it 2
  12. Kwallity maan
  13. THE THING WE ALL HAVE TO REMEMBER IS IT'S NOT SPEED THAT KILLS IT'S BAD DRIVING <?XML:NAMESPACE PREFIX = O /> Yours or other peoples? If you met yourself coming the other way , would you survive? The fact is the average speed on the journey did not exceed the national speed limit. You probably would struggle to do the national speed limit as an average speed arround KH. Whats the average speed at crail ? Average speed on my journey to work is 45mph, I travell 60 miles, I often get up to 100mph (on motorway and early in morning). Im not a hypocrite just advocateing a little restraint thats all.
  14. Partially agree with you Chris 1 The road to KH is v good used to live upthere ...try keeping to your own lane and not cut the sweeping corners it feels about 30mph faster! 2 I let my wife drive my STi with the kids in it...as fast as she likes. 3 Single guys with no kids and nothing to loose but their life or licence always make faster better drivers....not. 4 The difference between fast and dangerous is perception. 5If you choose not to be reckless / not to drive excessively fast / comment on other peoples driving in any thing but 100% positive manner this does not make you ( worst insult possible coming up ) a woman. If you post on here accept praise and critisism. SIDC is a broad and tollerant church and if it aint it should be!
  15. After 4 bottles of bud f*** *ll works. Tomorrow try seeing how long it takes you to bring your car to a complete stop from 130mph.........it is longer than you think ....and youll be braking in a straight line ..on a dry road ...and you knew that you were going to brake....And Ive got big brakes fitted to my car (this was the first mod, probably gettin to old eh?)
  16. Personally Id have chosen a road with fewer junctions and houses but not my 3 month ban. At 130mph you are travelling at approx 55m per second ..... assuming half a second reaction time and say 5 secs hard braking to stop the car then you would have travelled a meer 302.5m ......the length of 3 football pitches......... better to choose a quieter road or the track as its not the driver of the fast car that neccessarily causes the problem but often the slower object in its path.
  17. Been caught twice for minor infringements of the speed limits over the past 22 years. Best fun though was being in France last year driving at the speed targets , except in MPH. When questioned just said "jim i pell Jeramy Clarkson!!!" and got of with it. Speed targets are 130KPH !!!!!
  18. Dave if you go for the 50" DLP I can give u a quote to build an extension to house it in ......those things are huge!!!
  19. Well where do u hang the plasma? If it aint switched on it aint very pretty
  20. Deffinetly agree with Big davie a projector is best. Ive got a Hitachi one which puts out 786432pixels which is displayed on to my screen at a size of approx6'x4' and its really good. Colour is sharp but not brilliant in strong sunlight . The unit has 2 number RGB inputs, Standard scart input, component video, S video etc. Ive got mine wire up to a Sony surround system/DVD with the TV signal being picked up by a old video unit (not yet plugged in the digital) . Because of all the inputs lots of things can be plugged in and left in . Also supports computer signals . The biggest advantage is that the projector hides in a cupboard and the screen hides up behind the curtain pelmet and therefore the room is devoid clutter. Plasma screens are great but all your chairs end up facing a wall or corner, mine all look out at the view when I watch telly just pull down the screen. The real reason I went for this system was my wife said "no great big tv was going to mess up her house" so I did as I was told.(thats ok isin it?)
  21. Over the last few weaks not been entirely happy with the way the car has been going but tonight whilst rushing to pick up the kids the cluth started slipping. Hard accelaration up through the gears useing up all the revs changed up into 5th at 4000rpm (100ish) and pushed hard on the accelerator and the engine went up to 6000rpm and the car stayed the same . So possibly only a couple of weaks of gentle driving before a new clutch is required the question is what clutch to get. Car 1998 Classic turbo UK car Use 500 miles a week commuting occasional blasts, intention to use at Knockhill at track days Budget Mid range Preferance Uprated but must be drivable in traffic (Kingston Bridge twice a day) Would probably get greers to fit it as Ive a couple of other niggling faults to get fixed while its on the ramps Any help appreciated Cheers
  22. Dave, theres a guy in Paisley down behind Kwik-fit next to Hendry Grahams old place (Sort of under the arches). Painted a van for me once did a good job and was very reasonable but it was just white paint though!!
  23. Thought you were going to go fast!!!
