Believe it or not I was talking to a F1 designer today regarding my Subby (well actually about building houses but I had the sub with me so the interesting conversation was about it) .Easiest way for more power is to lower temps. Allow the hot air arround engine to escape (change the hinges to leave a gap at the windscreen edge of thebonnet), FMIC, cold air induction. Then if your really serious oil coolers for engine and gearbox.

  8. I think the town centre could be doing with a "bit of a clean up" makes parts of Bagdad look posh. But you can get Optimax there so it is not all bad.

  14. Got them done. Thanks for the idea to remove the whole calliper. All the studs and nuts were totally covered in lock tight and being alluminium they are easily damaged. Away for a test run now that the footies over.

  16. Away to do this but they are held on by M10 allen bolts, may prove to be interesting

Trying to take the pads out for id purposes and to scallop the outside one which is rubbing against the hub but can only get the top and btm bolts out (the ones which go through the pads ) the larger middle bolt (could have sleve ) which hold the two billets appart is absolutly solid have tried tapping with hammer, wd40, no movement. This bolt does need to come out to allow the pads slide out doesnt it? Any suggestions ? I hate mechanical problems...

  21. Ok , I tend just to wash n go , well actually just go. Only washed the car 3 times since I bought it ( January). This is probably not the thread for me.
