If you dont have a Windy gun: Remove the clutch off the rear of the engine, you will see the flywheel bolts, now using a double ring spanner 14mm off the top of my head, place one end on a flywheel bolt and the other end on the one of the bottom studs. Im talking about the ones from the engine that go through the gearbox. That will lock the flywheel so you can crack the front pulley. As Gordy has said you may need a puller to get it off, i use a small nylon mallet and tap it a bit then it comes off. You may need to shock the clutch bolts off or even lock it off!

  6. Are they a big outfit? Sound very professional anyway! I may call in in August when i drive back to Northern Ireland to live! Duncan mentioned Knockhill is the local circuit, always wanted to do it maybe next year i can when im settled in Civvy street. Thats if i can afford it lol.
  7. My mate is running ET45,s on his classic no problem. They cleared te 4 pots but ive just fitted K-Sports to it and had to fit a spacer to clear the bigger caliper. Its the spoke design you have to watch! It if cuts back in to the rim too sharp the may foul the calipers. His are 18,s by the way.
  8. I think he took it back 20! Timmy is highly unlikely to tell all on a forum and try and shift it on! The trader has relisted it without mention of the head gasket failure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. Just getting the touring geo set up on the car. Now i have the settings from Duncan i can get it done Still a bit worried as its the first scooby the guy has done but he had an RS4 there he was setting up for the Nurburgring 24! Nanaki, i hope me phoning didnt delay your work to much mate

  14. Looks like the seal has come dislodged may be worth stripping a bit further just to make sure its sitting correctly!
  15. I would just like to say a big thanks to Duncan at Hypertech. I need my Geo set up on the car and that is quite difficult here in Germany. A Local place is doing it ,the guy has all the right kit he just didnt have the settings. So after a half hour chat with Duncan i now have the Info i need to get the car sorted. I had previously rang a few well known Scooby tuners in England and they we not willing to help, just got answers like well if you bring it in we can sort it! Felt like saying ah mate i will be on the next boat!!! I will be talking to Duncan again soon with my card details for some goodies

  18. I think it looks good, it doesnt look like an Impreza and im still trying to get my head round that one lol. However having been in a 08 on the ring all i can say to you newage owners is watch out there quick. There was a blobeye STI on track the same time as us and he couldnt get close and Alister had not long run it in, to top it off he had the ECU in Sport mode not Sport special. I didnt get to drive it but it went really well, and i prefer it over the Hawkeye. My mate has a WRX PPP Hawkeye but it cant keep up with my 14 year old classic. I would however have the Hawk Sti if i had the cash and i would go for the 08 aswell.

  23. You will find them awesome Deani I have the 330mm kit on mine couple of laps of the ring and no fade at all and work well from cold!
  24. Gaz, i followed your project thread on SN and its changed alot! Few questions if i may as im going to go front entry turbo on my V1. Have you just binned the PAS, what rack are you using? Any issues with the metal coolant pipe that paralells the crossover pipe? I was looking at mine and i think it will have to be replaced with rubber and rerouted. Any other tips more than welcome mate, i have the spacers already. Is that a newage rad also. Looks very nice by the way
