Need More Burble ... Caught The Bug At The Mcrae Gathering !
dram300 replied to dram300's topic in Scottish Scoobies
Thats me sorted with a straight through centre section. Well chuffed. Nice and raspy burble without being obnoxious. Big up to Gus the Bus and his mate Paul for preparing the pipe and offering loads of advice. Top blokes !!! Hmm, what to modify next ??? -
Ricardo Patrese takes his wife for a quick spin round the track in a Type-R. A scooby owner would never do that, would you

That was me in KFC/Toys-R-Us. My wife & eldest spied you in KFC - doesn't know you from Adam of course, but had a hunch. You were gone by the time she came out. After the Gathering weekend, our 3 year old is a wee bit Scooby daft. Shouting at me because I didn't park next to you. When you drove away, she wanted to know where you were going and would we follow. Bless !!! Slowest KFC in the world that one.

Thanks for this. Had a wee roll under the car earlier on and got to wondering where my decat pipe was. Good to hear its disguised as a cat-pipe !!!

Cheers mate, makes sense that they would refit the heatshields. I had a look at no end of websites today, fair to say there isn't a lot out there on PPP. Thanks

Any of these look familar? Downpipe from Engine Bay PPP CatDelete from Drivers Side? PPP CatDelete from Passenger Side? CatDelete-Center Join CentrePipe Backbox clearly stamped Prodrive

Its a MY05 2.0 Bogie. I'll take a pic if it stops raining for a minute Cheers

Anyone know what the exhaust mods on a PPP'd MY05 WRX look like? (I'm talking about the the CAT mod, not the back box (clear Prodrive markings)) I got the impression from various sites that it was a centre cat delete pipe on the WRX, i.e. straight run, no bulges, however looking at mine, it looks like it has a CAT in the middle. Anyone got some pics?

Thanks for all the replies, much appreciated. Looks like the common advice is to start with a straight through centre section. Modding here I come -

Where/how do I get rid of the centre section then? Is it gonna cost much? OFF TOPIC: Hows the A4 coming along? Thinking of getting mine in for a bit of chipping. Its either Star Performance or A4Audi. Naturally, it would be intended to improve the fuel economy in this time of high oil prices -
Sad to admit that a weekend on the McRae Gathering has given me the bug. Standing at the static displays listening to the cars streaming in was like listen to distant rumbling thunder for 3 hours. Standing in the worlds biggest traffic jam was also sonically spectacular. I WANT MORE BURBLE !!! SO ... HOW DO I GET MORE BURBLE? Running a 2005 WRX with PPP. Don't have a big budget, so full exhaust systems are probably out of the question !!! Don't want an ASBO. Just want a deeper, rumblier baseline !!! (Truth be told, I want more horses, torques, brakes and suspension too ... but you have to start somewhere)

Halfords mix up the paint on demand instore. Get your colour code from under the bonnet and take it to the parts counter. About £8 for 100 ml in a wee bottle. Code might be 02C - WR Blue Pearlescent (but mine's MY2005), might be different now. Dabbed a bit on before heading of to the McRae Gathering. Looks like ... new
