Now telling myself it was a little lass or lad letting themselves out of mum or dads car. They wouldn't know any better. Don't feel as angry now.

As topic suggests ...

... is finding all the dents and scratches from over the winter Some TWUNT has smacked into my door in a EK car park leaving a nice dent and scuff for me to pull out. Same thing happened to my father in Bothwell last year. Except a nice old woman left her contact details on his windshield and offered to pay for the repairs. If only that woman from Bothwell lived in EK ...

Thanks for that and the quick response. Off to the shops we go. Thanks.

Any tips as to how to get my exhaust gleaming (Prodrive Backbox). Looks a bit dull and sooty after the wintery months. Thanks

Can you ask if they'll do mine too, I'm only 5 months out of warranty.

So, the consensus seems to be that my shocks are knacked. Whats the prognosis ... are they likely to fail? Are they dangerous?

I suspect that there may be a wee problem with the car after driving around town in the last week (05 WRX). Been happening for months, but getting more noticeable. Symptom No.1 Drive away traffic lights, get stopped at the next set after a few hundred yards. Just as I'm about to put the h/brake on the back of the car feels like it dips a bit, there is quiet, but audible clonk from the driver side rear. Feels like the car just rolled into a hole in the road. (it didn't BTW). Symptom No.2 Reversing out of the driveway at home, press the brake in the street, hear a clunk from the rear. Not everytime, but enough to be noticable. The car had its 3 year service in September at which time I raised the spectre of shocolatt dampers but the car was given a clean bill of health. Both comments raised at the service. The rear passenger side damper was replaced under warranty two years ago. Warranty now expired Symptoms sound familiar to anyone? Any suggestions?

Hmm, interesting suggestion Imy. I first noticed on Hogmanay on the way into Glasgow. Problem is, I refilled at Tesco on the way out. I'll look into that idea ... As mentioned in my previous post ... I'll keep my ear on it.

Yeah, had a wee google search after Dipsy replied earlier. Sounds fairly commonplace !!! Problem is, how come, after 3 years, have I just noticed it !!! Maybe it is a gumming up thing. It was serviced a couple of months back, but I've only really been driving it in the last two weeks. I'll keep my ear on it. Thanks.

Yep, all bolts through the rubber dampers (3 I think?)

The pipe coming out the bottom looks like it just touches the bodywork as it bends away toward the engine, but other than being bolted to the bodywork, the solenoid itself doesn't look particularly untoward. ??

OK, will check after lunch. Thanks.

Anyone ever heard a constant tapping / clicking noise coming from what sounds to be behind the instrument panel (05 WRX). Can hear it from around 2-3k rpm, think it disappears when I dip the clutch. Drowned out by exhaust / radio before any suggests that as a solution. I heard something similar years ago in my fathers old car, turned out to be a faulty speedo cable. Hoping its not something more sinister. ????

gets about. I think I saw it going along by glesga green this evening ... can't be many black hatch STis in glasgow starting with BL ???

Need More Burble ... Caught The Bug At The Mcrae Gathering !

Thats me sorted with a straight through centre section. Well chuffed. Nice and raspy burble without being obnoxious. Big up to Gus the Bus and his mate Paul for preparing the pipe and offering loads of advice. Top blokes !!! Hmm, what to modify next ??? -
Ricardo Patrese takes his wife for a quick spin round the track in a Type-R. A scooby owner would never do that, would you

Thanks for this. Had a wee roll under the car earlier on and got to wondering where my decat pipe was. Good to hear its disguised as a cat-pipe !!!

Cheers mate, makes sense that they would refit the heatshields. I had a look at no end of websites today, fair to say there isn't a lot out there on PPP. Thanks

Any of these look familar? Downpipe from Engine Bay PPP CatDelete from Drivers Side? PPP CatDelete from Passenger Side? CatDelete-Center Join CentrePipe Backbox clearly stamped Prodrive

Its a MY05 2.0 Bogie. I'll take a pic if it stops raining for a minute Cheers

Anyone know what the exhaust mods on a PPP'd MY05 WRX look like? (I'm talking about the the CAT mod, not the back box (clear Prodrive markings)) I got the impression from various sites that it was a centre cat delete pipe on the WRX, i.e. straight run, no bulges, however looking at mine, it looks like it has a CAT in the middle. Anyone got some pics?

Thanks for all the replies, much appreciated. Looks like the common advice is to start with a straight through centre section. Modding here I come
