It's just arrived here about an hour ago. So far, only an inch or so.

Hi Fee, I'd go for the 5th pic as my first choice and the 3rd pic as my 2nd choice. Iain

I thought exactly the same Gumball, look at them, dont they just love themselves. Don't think I've ever seen a bigger bunch of nob-jockeys anywhere.
-
Cracking photos on a camera phone. I also left the scoob yesterday and went hill-walking but with nowhere near as much snow as you seem to have there. Think I might have to take a trip down that way on Sunday and make the most of the snow while its still there. Maybe better dig out the crampons and ice-axe. The Tarmachan ridge should be interesting.

P1ggm, don't think you wouldve seen me, I was in my blue Passat estate (SM04KEY), passed you near Pitkerro road roundabout.
-
Hi P1ggm. Saw you in your motor on Friday aft in dundee, well smart, sounds good too. I suggested wednesday night in reply to Col's request but any midweek night would suit really. Sunday day/night difficult.

Looks like there's no further interest so hows about sorting out something definate now? Somewhere central in Angus like the Craigton Coach Inn, Monikie. Date? Next wednesday(29th) night 8 ish? Any better ideas? Who's interested? Iain.

I'm open to anything (within reason)whether it be a midweek night for a beer and a crack or a wee hurl in the countryside and a stop for grub on a Sunday afternoon. Suggestions for midweek meet: Craigton Coach Inn, Monikie. nice quiet country pub with decent food and nae worries about leaving the cars outside. Also, The Drovers Inn at Memus, again good food and a nice quiet 'safe' location. (its about midway between Forfar and Brechin amongst the backroads) Sunday run: Glen Clova, pub at the top does good grub. GlenShee, Spittal of Glenshee hotel, reasonable price decent grub. Bearing in mind the state of the roads at the moment it may be best to go for the midweek option as I wouldn't be keen on taking my Scoob too far on salty, manky roads. There's something to start with. What do you think? Iain
-
Hi Col. Cheers for that, hopefully see you at a meet (mini or otherwise) in the near future. Iain

Thanks Dougster. Don't know who Teknopete is but I presume he's the RO? Keenish to get something organised as come the summer (for me mid May till end Sept) I'll not be able to make it along to any weekend events due to work commitments. Iain

Are there never any meets in these areas? Do we have a Regional Organiser? I've been a member of SIDC for about 8 weeks and am on here most nights, but have never seen anything regarding events etc. for Angus. Seems to be the only area with nothing happening. Are there many club members in the area? Iain.

Used to do lots of game fishing, especially wild brown trout fishing in the hill lochs. Bought some new salmon fly gear last year so intending to give it a serious crack this year. Also used to be a total pike fishing fanatic and still really enjoy a day at that occasionally. where did /do you pike fish?

Being new here I don't really know you Sharon but you sound like exactly the sort of enthusiastic person that they'd be looking for! Good luck on Monday.

I'm on my first scoob, just got it in December and only done about 300miles(plus 500 bringing it up from southampton!). I'd never even been in a Subaru till I test drove a 22b a couple of months ago. Now I know why everyone goes on about them. It's a fantastic car and i wish I'd got one years ago.

After struggling for ages to get these pics posted they finally appear under someone elses name! Don't quite know how that works but thanks Jamie if you helped me out there. Also, cheers for the comments guys

Really enjoyed that Corsa, great memories. Re. the bikes, I too had a chopper ( Raleigh) but I'm fairly sure that the Chipper was an attempt at a copy by Dawes. Also: We played chap-the-door-run-away and were actually afraid of the owners catching us. [/Q We used to play a varation on that called shyte-a-lite. This involved sourcing a suitably soggy doggy doo then wrapping t up in newspaper. Next step was to place it on a doorstep before setting it alight. A quick chap on the door and then leg it to a suitable nearby viewing spot where you could pish yourself with laughter as the house holder attempts to kill the flames by stamping it out, thereby covering his shoes with shyte! Classic fun.

Hello and welcome

Quality! Great to see that vid again. I'm a huge fan of the MK1 and Mk2 RS escorts having owned several of them many years ago.

After 20+ years in the fish trade I decided on a complete change of direction and did a degree in Applied Environmental Science. The course was based mainly in the Midmills campus but we had several lectures at Balloch and field trips in the surrounding woodlands. It was a very interesting course which i really enjoyed doing despite the numerous failings and general dis-organisation that exists within the UHI. However, the wee business that I started up to initially provide me with some pocket money during my study years kinda took off and I somewhat reluctantly found myself veing drawn back into the fish again and ultimately back to Arbroath.

No fai 17, thats not my car. Only had it a few weeks and not yet had a decent photo opportunity.

Suppose I'd better show my coupon too. Page 1 of my website is a photo from about 3years ago. Don't think I've changed much since then. http://arbroathsmokies.com -

Hi and welcome Boydo. Good move, you'll love the Highlands. I was up there for 3 years doing my degree at Inverness and enjoyed my time there. Sadly, work pullled me back to Angus again but it's not too bad here either.
