  1. - Have bought a few wee things for the car, just bought a cheap CD player as the stock tape-deck was doing my t!ts in!! [] - Next on my list is a new brake set-up. [H] Cheers, Grant
  2. Thanks mate, they do one for the 98-00 Classic dash... [] Struggling with the Twin 60mm A-Pillar pod though!? Cheers, Grant
  3. If you want further info on PPP and the options available to you, try giving Russ (Mako) @ Eden a call... He'll keep you right regarding warranty/PPP/gains to be had for your money... [] 01334 657400 Russell Stewart [] Cheers, Grant
  4. Ok, ordered some gauges for my MY99 Turbo and now I'm looking for: - Twin A-Pillar 60mm Gauge Pod - Triple Central 60mm Gauge Pod Anyone got any links to help me find what I'm looking for?? Any help is greatly appreciated!! [] Cheers, Grant
  5. LOL!! I'll go and amend that now for you Russell... [] In relation to the topic, its looking like I'm gonna have to go for 18's on the car to clear the Brembos....... [] Cheers, Grant
  6. Ditto.... [H] Cheers, Grant
  7. IIRC the Standard BHP on a MY96 UK Turbo is 204bhp. My list of first 3 mods (after making sure that its serviced, etc) would be: 1. Decent Backbox & Centre De-Cat 2. Boost Gauge 3. Session on R/R to make sure car is running well. (A/F, Boost, Power, etc) Cheers, Grant
  8. Ok, now I know that obviously the stock STi wheels will fit over the Brembos.. but I'm wanting something different. Not TSW/League/Max Poo different, I'm looking for something as light & strong as possible.. without breaking the bank!!I've bought some 17" Speedline GT1 alloys, had them refurb'd and I was told recently that the clearance might not actually be enough to clear the laaaaarge Brembo calipers. What other 17" wheels will fit over the Brembo Brakes without the need for spacers?? I'm very reluctant to move onto 18" alloys.. but will if I absolutely need to. Car is a MY99 UK Turbo 4dr. Cheers, Grant
  9. Top effort guys, both drivers and those responsible for building and mapping!! [H] Cheers, Grant
  10. Amazing effort by everyone, lots of good banter had... lots of sunburn/wind battering received by my face only, nobody else I saw was as bl00dy red as me!! lol [] Great day, stand looked wicked........ and congrats to peeps on the strip and in particular, JC, The Ultimate Champion. [H] Cheers, Grant
  11. I'm very pleased that you've decided to continue mate, dont let the bassas grind you down.. [] Cheers, Grant
  12. Haha, no no... You keep that helpful advice where it is mate... I neither feel threatened nor bitter about you helping me out, could be something to do with me not being 'one of them' I suppose!! [][] Cheers, Grant
  13. No bother, thinking of another JB then... [] Cheers, Grant
  14. Welcome to SIDC mate, you didnt have a DC2 did you?? Cheers, Grant
  15. I'm more than happy to go with that mate... like I say, there might be something said to us, but I'd hope that once we explain what its for then that shouldnt be seen as a problem. I fully support SC and agree that even a wee bit of a donation from events held will add up to make a big difference. [H] Cheers, Grant
  16. Col, that would be brilliant mate... Maybe we can find a nice quiet corner of Sainsburys and make merry with the tyre lever and trolley jack. I bought the wheels 2nd hand, didnt realise they needed "special" bolts for them.. was never informed of that as I assume its pretty expensive to get some sent out.. now I've had them refurb'd in the colour I'm after I will be VERY pi$$ed off if I cant bl00dy use them on my car!! [:@] Cheers, Grant
  17. Its a good idea Craig, but I'm not sure how that would go down with Willie @ Crail mate... I would be fully expecting him to come over and charge you for a trading pitch fee, he's all about the £££ from what I've seen. [] Cheers, Grant
  18. I'd be surprised if they weren't there pedalling their 'meat' products..... [] Cheers, Grant
  19. Yea the van will be there... however... they charge like a wounded goat, so best steer clear IMO. I'll chip in too, will try get hold of something tonight, dont mind doing the run to the shops for supplies tomorrow either. Cheers, Grant
  20. Noooooooooo....... Any ideas where I can source longer parts, never needed to look before?! [] I have only got standard Scoob nuts and AFAIK standard Scoob locking nuts.. [] Cheers, Grant
  21. I dropped the pressure of my Eagle F1's on my GT4 to 19PSi.... promptly sh@t the diff after that.... [] Cheers, Grant
  22. This is just a Front conversion only... Cheers, Grant
  23. Yea, got the discs & pads as well as the calipers... need to know these will be fine before I can confirm that I'll take them. I'm taking a gamble that they'll fit under the 17" Speedlines, if they dont fit, I'll be out of the run!! [] I had 2-pots on my old MY98 wagon, they are VERY bad.. absolute hope&pray jobbies!! [] Cheers, Grant
  24. Yep sure do, dont find them all that inspiring to be fair... as the discs and pads are coming to the end of their life, I am looking at about the same amount for new discs and pads for original set-up as I am for a low-mileage Brembo set-up. Cheers, Grant
  25. Ok, need brakes before the run on 17th and I've got the chance at some STi Brembo's from a MY03 STi Spec-C for my classic, UK MY99 Turbo running on 17" Speedline GT1 wheels. Are they a straight bolt-on job.. or are special brackets/clips etc needed?! Cheers, Grant
