  1. Had one go past me today that colour lol. Don't see many of them. Def got a green tint to it, so will also go with peppermint green. Is it quite an early car, the ones I've seen are pretty early and mostly non turbo's. Nice to be different[]
  2. Careful when topping up, overfilling isn't good. Two set of marks on the dipstick, is it lower set when the engine is cold and higher set when it's hot? Anyone?
  3. Sorry mate, but had someone come in to work last week having just filled up at Asda Greenhithe and their car was in for repairs. I put something up on here just in case but the symptoms sound like it could be that. Did I see you last night? Blue newage, flashed twice heading out of dartford towards the Longfield area down the hill? You were coming up. VERY VERY IMPORTANT!!! KEEP A SAMPLE OF THE FUEL FOR PROOF
  4. On my way home, from dartford through longfield (and on) I spotted a v nice blue classic near hi spec brakes place, ROAR on the way to Longfield and a white classic a bit closer
  5. Totall agree mate. It's a surprisingly good feeling to pull over and just let them past, must do it more often. I have a 10-12 mile motorway trip to work, rush hour so lucky to be doing 50, and you get people swerving in and out, and then when you come off the motorway they're sitting in front of you lol. Difference is they're probably stressed. Sounds daft but I just sit in the slow lane, I get people from work overtakng me who (when they get out of their cars at the same time as me in the car park....) seem surprised I was "going slowly". Well we got here at the same time, tell me, who was going faster??? lol[]
  6. I've got a 03 wrx and have a sports cat sitting in the garage along with a decat up pipe. I've been told that when you start to up the flow rate the cat in the up pipe can start to disintegrate and get sucked in to the turbo. Also that the downpipe has to come off to fit the uppipe(?) so am getting both done at once.
  7. I appreciate that as scooby drivers you are unlikely not to use optimax etc but I've just spoken to a work colleague whose car is in being repaired having been filled up here. They believe the petrol may be contaminated.
  8. From memory the wires out the back of my clock were black and black/white stripe. Agree with Dal you'll need a permanent live, probably from the stereo is best. Dal could you refresh my memory, what's the yellow wire normally, is that the switched live?
  9. On the subject of blowing your car up go to a well known and trusted rolling road. First one I went to I ended up with what I thought was smoke coming from the engine, I wasn't the only one!!! The room emptied and the guy was still flooring it. I was trying to get his attention lol. Turns out they'd put the extraction tube/fan on the exhaust but hadn't turned it on[:@]. Car was fine. Second one I went to they seemed to know what they were doing, car wasn't thrashed to within an inch of it's life and wasn't held at god knows how many revs for nearly as long. Thumbs up for power engineering[H]
  10. Picture's a bit blurred mate, is that a carbon fibre bonnet?[] The wait will be worth it!!
  11. Gutted for you mate. Dare I ask what was wrong with it?
  12. Quite like that myself, looks like it might be quite nimble/chuckable[] Could be a bit lighter tho. Can't believe they are going to make us wait until 2009 for the diesel model!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol (very tongue in cheek!!) mmmmm flat four burble/death rattle........
  13. Looking good mate, all ready for tomorrow?

  19. Well done to Shiralee for organising this. A good night, can't beat a bit of curry. Did anyone else get loads of vibration just after leaving the car park? I thought I might have had a puncture or something def didn't feel right. Was wondering if it was the car or the road. Dazzler82, heard/saw a couple go past[]
  20. No probs mate. See you at the esso[Y]
