http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subaru try this link for a wee laugh, in particular the "lesbians car" bit! Willie

As has been said, get a few more quid together and go the apexi way. I tried one of these chips and it did perk the car up a little it also flipped it into safe mode sometimes . Im not saying this will happen to you but if you are to spend £200+ for this you will really have to follow it up with a RR check and a boost gauge and maybe even an afr gauge plus a knocklink. Time this is added up your not too far shy ( £200 - £300 ish ?) from apexi and andy f cash. After trying one of these i went far an apexi and just wish i had done sooner. Happy hunting Willie.

Yery nice motor, only another 10 years before i can afford one . Willie

I want to jump a flight back over now so i can do that again! I think kenny still dabbles in lawn mowers as im sure he supplied my friend with his ride on turbo cut. we had it out for timed laps round his house on new years eve. Great fun but not the same as his WRC car! Cheers Willie

Anti-lag is very very nice, having seen it in action this morning its mad when coupled with auto shift from first to second, and by then third is already there! I feel smug! but it wont last. cheers. willie

Hi folks, happy new year. spent new year over in banbridge, near belfast. Thought you might like to share my experience. Today at 11:00am i was introduced to the two members of the Mckinstry family. Kenny Mckinstry and his daughter Emma. Kenny took me out for a blast in his 2004 WRC works Impreza!, this was the car run by the other solberg lad. He owns four maybe five of what he calls S10`s and S11`s all of which have been sourced from prodrive post competition use. His garage included an S8 which was a prodrive prepared STI7 ( i think?), a further four or five blobeye prodrive cars and a metro 6R4. I have pics from my mobile which i will add as soon as i can but im moving house just now so that may take time. Kenny himself is a much admired ex-pro driver, his daughter is currently doing well in the driving world. This monster was wild, and i really mean wild!. Kenny Said it was firing 320ish bhp with 750 Lbs torque! And i do believe it. Boost was not an issue, the car was very smooth on power all the way. It was hard to tell what was going on as the navigator seat never gave me a view of the multifunction prodrive display. if i looked left all i seen was the centre console or the seat head rest, and looking left or right was not why i was there. This car makes 3 bar boost, but its not like you would imagine. With so much torque the boost just blends in and all you feel just fecking scared, more so than even when the 14" prodrive discs start to work. The gearbox is semi-auto so gear changes are so fast the impending countryside is all you can take in. I was keen on hearing the turbo spool up or the exhaust but being truthfull all you can hear is the straight cut box whine alongside the car grounding on the lumpy roads. Grip was beyond comprehension, wet roads yeilded traction which my very pony WRX can only dream about. Every touch of the brakes was followed by the violent whine of the semi-auto gearbox. The four point harness was itself a reminder that you were somewhere special. Between my feet was a LCD display which was dedicated to the fuel system. And all the while the good people of Banbridge were nodding as we flew past, with no issues at all as it was Kenny just having a blast! The next event was the demonstration of the anti-lag coupled with the launch-control. Kenny stopped at a sensible place. The L/C was set, the ALS was set and off we went!. Sweet is the best i can say, iam so happy that now i know what the navigators feel when the sh1t goes down and it is good. The car holds about 0.5bar as im sure you know , and the revs just rocket as the L/C starts to work. 3 bar is soon with you as you wonder if you will become part of the scenery but i guess it was ok cos im here now. I will now thank Kenny McKinstry and ken Ramsey For making this happen and have a nice new year folks.

Urgent Legal Advice Needed Regarding Traffic cops
ormiboy replied to mctwistuk's topic in Scottish Scoobies
An admission of going through an amber is an offence itself i think? You are only allowed to go when at amber if it is dangerous to stop. i could be talking pap but worth checking before making a statement to the law. bottom line is if you say it was defo not red then they are taking the pi$$ and that should be tackled. Pf would prob drop anyway? Good luck -
hi bandit im afraid i cant help with this one but i do know that you cant get them from b&q mate take it easy. Willie

Hiding out in costorhpine for the next few months so would be well happy if the tesco there was good for it. Quite spoiled out there with a shell station at the end of each road. Fingers crossed its worth it tho think v power will be hard to beat other than the fact that it can feel a bit off every couple of tanks! Could just be me tho? cheers

Another vote for Andy F here!

sweeeeeeet. this monster parks on london road most nights, driven by a lady. most nights before they go to bed they remove the wing and store under the 323`s ample arches!

BEST PLACE TO GET FAST ROAD GEOMETRY SET UP DONE - CLOSE TO GLASGOW
ormiboy replied to TSL 333's topic in Scottish Scoobies
Extreme Motorsport in whitburn were very good when mine was done. Cost about £140 which is not cheap but they spent a fair bit of time and the results were good. Heard too many stories of places giving a nice pic of what your car is set to only to find out later that nothing was touched. It took a while before it felt like the car was mine post adjustment, which is a clear indicator that the work was significant. willie -
hi mate, i would stick it on a rolling road sometime soon, that way you can get a bit info on what might be going on if anything. It would be nice to see a nice afr plot just to keep the mind at rest bearing in mind that its flowing more thro the aftermarket exhaust. Only cost you about £40 too Hope all is well willie.

Ormiboy, glad you didnt dial in the wee changes you were considering, dont know how charitable Dastek would have been if you'd dropped some EJ20 over their Rollers?! ]" src="/emoticons/emotion-2.gif"> Grant I did use 2 deg advance on the way home with no probs but for some reason i dont understand the injectors max out on the rollers but i find it much harder to max them on the road? Still happy with 10bhp more and 10 ft more from just the exhaust change and some v power. And nice to meet you folks. Cheers Willie

Im on my third tank and am quite pleased so far. Less background knock on the commander, lower lift of det peaks. Worse fuel consumption tho? I have only started trying more advance so cant really comment on that yet, but over all happy chappy. Well untill they whack on the 2-4p price hike. Willie. But it will be nice to see the RR graph on sat.

Sometimes watching others first can put you off! My first time up at dastek i watched a 400 isn bhp mental cossie squirm around big time, made me think twice about it. Was all ok in the end tho after the bondage straps came out! Are the H&S rules about the closed test cell stuff getting applied? Willie

madness! 0-124 in 4.9 is hard to believe. but i know jack about this stuff so best keep my gob shut willie.
