  1. From what i've seen i've noticed a lot of people selling Megan headers "needing a bit of welding". Maybe a brand to avoid, but I may be wrong.
  2. Never had the pleasure in meeting him. My thoughts are with you and his family mate.
  3. Both lads loved their motors, especially Stevie who was on a mission to build a seriously modified Renault 21 Turbo. Stevies car has seen the entire engine stripped and rebuilt to a huge spec including cams, ported polished head ,uprated turbo, lightened and balance crank ,the list goes on and on. All that was left to do to the car was to have it remapped which would have had the car sitting at well over 350bhp. Its been decided that the lads that knew him well are all going to chip in to see Stevies motor finally reach what he was aiming for. I would like to thank all for your kind wishes and will be passing them onto their families and partners which hopefully will add some comfort to an extremely hard situation to deal with. Many thanks, Scotty
  4. Last night there was a horrific crash near Ballantrae. The 2 people that tragically lost their lives were friends of mine. Bertie was a great lad and Stevie was a very good friend who would do anything he could to help his mates out. Some people from SS will know Stevie from the Glasgow Santa Cruiz last year as he was my ace camera man. Sadly stevie was unable to win his brave fight for life and left us early this morning. Both lads will be sorely missed and our deepest thoughts go to both Stevie and Bertie's families and loved ones. You'll remain in our hearts and memories forever. Scotty
  5. Agree with WRXMANIA, Greers know subaru's and their prices are spot on.
  6. I dream of such luck []
  7. The joys!!!![] Hope to F@*k that its just the thermostat! Dont think the wife will be to happy on there pair bills if its worse case senario especially after the gearbox hassle I had with the car.[:-*]
  8. The Wife had to phone the RAC today because the car decided to over heat at the Shell garage. Mr RAC man said that the thermostat had stuck because the top rad pipe was hot and the bottom was cold. However once I got home from work I had a look at the motor and I found that after about 10 mins the bottom pipe starts to get warm. It has lost some coolant but no leaks (pressure tested).I presume it was lost through the overspill pipe. After about half an hour of looking at it, taking it for a run, checking the fans work ,no oil in header tank etc the car seems fine. So what do you think people? Sticking thermostat? Scotty
  9. Yeah it was a good day. Nice to meet you Vicki . [] (spoke to you at the Ayrshire Scoobies stand)
  10. Black or gun metal if you want an aggressive look mate.
  11. Very good idea ! Even for tech type people a section like that could save a whole load of time when having to work on the motor.
  12. As Billy says mate its not hard, you just need patience and confidence. As for work it can be hard getting class 1 work without experience but getting class 2 is fairly easy. On the plus side there is loads of companies and agencies that are screaming out for drivers. hope that helps mate.
  13. They 22B's are common as muck now-a-days !!![] Just kidding mate !! []

  16. Finally managed to get rid of the annoying squeak coming from my suspension. I was beginning to think my coilovers were knackered but after copper slipping the anti roll bar bushes and stripping the ALK and putting some copper slip in the inner metal tube im now SQUEAK FREE !!!!!!! Pain in the ar2e spending my only day off working on the motor but in beats paying someone to do it.

  21. I got a Cambelt change, oil change ,diff oil change ,Grearbox oil checked, plugs changed, and suspension repair from Greers and it was VERY good value for money. For this sort of job Greers would be my first choice.

I'll try and make it but Im working up Irvine till 7pm and the wife will have the car in Glasgow but Ill try and arrange to meet her in Ayr then we'll take a wee trip down the Shore.
