  1. T shirt one with the sticker looks GOOD... still got to get my picture framed... not had a chance to get to a place with it yet. Had wondered about framing the T shirt as well though.
  2. Aye... I went from a Scoob to a Cupra TDi, which was okay for a while... but always missed the scoob... decided I would do a "grown ups car" and got a 4.2 V8 S6 Avant... but even with 300bhp and a V8 under the bonnet it had nothing on a scoob... traded it for the 06 STi. Both cars had the same same amount of power but were VASTLY different cars. No question, I wouldn't be without a scoob now, even if it was the cheapest "crappiest" oldest one I could afford. Still got the Cupra TDi alongside the STi and it's a good combo IMO, Leon is cheap to tax, insure and run, STi... ummm... isn't, so between them we have the equivalent of two "normal" cars Would definitely say if you've done that much to the car you'd be daft to let it go for FA (which is probably all you'd get for it atm).
  3. I'll take a pic of my UK STi one if you want? Didn't bother checking earlier when it looked like you were looking for a JDM one.
  4. Nice looking motor. Splitter on the front makes a huge difference IMO as well. Found that you get a bit of burble with swapping the backbox, but swapping the entire system makes a huge difference... think the downpipe is ridiculously restrictive on the 2.5's.
  5. What kind of 05 is it? Is it the one with the larger PCD of the wheels (ie a 2.5l STi)? AFAIK, the springs from the 2.5 05STi onwards are different (knew someone who went from an 02 STi to an 06 STi and needed to buy new springs again rather than swapping over the ones he had).
  6. Ooops. Was gonna say that, as the photographer was obviously ready for it and it was a small single track road, that they'd maybe blocked it off to do the runs, etc so wouldn't be just as dangerous as you think... but then their lack of control on landing... just lucky an airbag and wheel is all they need to change. Lucky that the car didn't dig in when it went into the scenery. Would have thought if you were doing that, that you'd build yourself up in stages and not just try a full on WOT attack first time out
  7. I wish I had been
  8. Guess I must be lucky then... haven't had any suspension issues on my 06STi (2yo and 20k+ on the clock)... and it likes the occasional "back road blast" too so not being grannied about the place.
  9. Had a few Pugs in the past myself, never lowered them though. IIRC you need to pull the bars out and rotate them in order to raise/lower them. It's meant to be a complete b*tch of a job to do though (might not be so bad if it was done last year though like you say). Might be worth hanging about the local car parks and finding some guy with a lowered Pug/Saxo and asking him where he got it done to see if there is someone local that can fiddle with it for you
  10. I think it's more that people react differently to the way a tyre moves. Some people prefer a softer tyre that moves a bit more before it loses grip, others prefer something that sticks like glue but when it starts sliding it starts going quickly IYKWIM. FWIW it was 235/35/19 T1Rs that I had and liked, although they were part worn when I got them so not sure how they would have felt when brand new.
  11. Got 35 profile tyres on mine (235/35/19) and they are better riding than the original 225/45/17s. Less tramlining and less road noise than the RE070s.
  12. Funny what people get used to. I went the other way, had Toyo T1R's and swapped to Eagle F1's. I was the same as you... hated the new tyres, although after about a thousand miles I'm pretty much used to the F1s now and do quite like them. Think it was only the likes of Bridgestones that I liked the moment they were on the car without needing a bedding in period.
  13. Woohoo... not only managed to get a limited print, but managed to get the limited packaging too Very much appreciated though... even one of the women at work I showed it too appreciated it (and that was before I unwrapped it )
  14. Someone posted a link to a place online where you could get a frame made up to suit for about £36 I think (may be in the scottish scoobies thread about this). Had planned on taking mine (pus sizes) to a local place though, 'cos I thought it might look better with a mount as well as a frame (ie certain thickness of card around the pic, then frame around that) which would be hard to guesstimate easily... would be easier done at a frame place. Depending on costs, etc I'd probably just get it done there... if they were going to be OTT then I'd make sure I knew the size I wanted and size of mount so I could then order it online IYKWIM
  15. Let me clarify that... I want MY OWN private airfield beside my house to play in
  16. Not seen that one before I wanna private airfield and hangar to play with... not fair.
  17. Mine arrived today Liked the little touch around the bubblewrap... I assume that's by your hand and not Grants (unless he's showing his feminine touch )
  18. Pfff... get a life... you washed it this year already? easily can wait until next year
  19. Yup... While I can't claim to be the worlds best driver ('cos I'm too modest ) there are too many people that I see on the roads that who've obviously cut their licence out from the back of a cornflakes packet.
  20. Yup... me too
  21. Graphite would look better than silver IMO.
  22. " all of a sudden there was a car in my bed" Superb
  23. :waving-santa: :santa:
  24. You're gonna have to be a bit of a contortionist to get in that door :waving-santa:
