  2. Hi Ya, I have had both during my 11 years spent on Scooby Island 2 Civic Type Rs & 5 Imprezas (Type R Import,Uk Turbo,Uk Sti7,Import Sti8 & The First Hawkeye Import in Europe!) All good cars, but once in a Good Impreza, you will never go back especially living where you do. With the budget you have finding a good car should be easyish, go for the newist you can afford (personal opinion) BUT do not rush, there are so many available, get yerself down to Barry Currans (to try Not buy ) and get a feel for the car, there are also plenty of good local guys who i would no doubt take you out in there cars to also get a feel as to how Different they all are. Sadly, i am no longer on the island nor have a scooby anymore, but good luck in finding a car. Ta Ta Richard

  18. Evening all Guys an Gals. As i am selling my car (due to lack of use ) it only seems right for a change of Regional Organiser. I Have been in this role for 4 or 5 years now and met and made lots of friends both here on the rock and across the water. We still have the Legacy and i dare say i will find another cheapie classic to keep me going in due course and i have about a hundred years on my membership to go yet as well. Also having passed my bike test today theres always the chance that i just might get a bigger bike as well there does seem to be a few over here!! So i ask you all to welcome Cupradave into the role as your new fella on Scooby Island and trust that you will all support him. And i will see you all around, and when you see a biker waving at ya, it could be me Ta Ta and thanks for your support over the years Richard

  20. A Truly sad day, I first saw Colin in action here on The Isle of Man whilst visiting the Manx International Rally in 1990. Marshalling at the dog kennels, Glen Roy stage, Martin Rimmer missed the 90 left and took the slip road & T boned the hedge. Colin Also misses the corner (Braking a tad late!!) but put the Sierra Cosworth sideways through the slip road, touchs the bank with drivers side BUT is already pointing the right way and was gone within a blink. Then many times here again in the Subaru Legacy RS, back then i used to bring a group of marshalls over for the event from Devon and one of them (Barry Luxton) summed it up perfectly, I put him at Brandywell Cottage on the Druidale stage, it was wet, cold bleak, foggy and just generaly orrible and when i picked Barry up he was almost purple with the cold, but he said it was worth it just to see Colin coming through the stage flat out and the only one that year not to lift off going through the cattle grids! Having moved over here 11 years ago and having had 5 Impreza's now it was undoubtably seeing colin do what he did best that brought me into subaru's. He was a frequent visitor to the Island (2 wheels & 4 wheels) many of us where lucky enough to see him in a monster battle with phil collins in their respective Escort Mk2's on the National rally earlier this year. He will be sadly missed here on Scooby Island R.I.P Colin Richard Prouse Silverton Motor Club Stage Sponser & Ex Stage Commander Manx International Rally/ Rally Isle of Man SIDC R/O Isle of Man

Milltek exhaust(not shown in photo) fitted otherwise completely standard (Doe's not really need anything else) I can not justify the monthly cost for a car that i am only doing 1500 miles a year in here on the rock.
