Its that time of year again!!! Hi You All, some of you will Know me, but for those that do not and if you fancy a cracking week or weekend in the Isle of Man listen up. I am looking for any of you guys and galls that like rallying and might be prepared to help me out with the above event. This is one of the quickest events in the British Rally Championship, and the very best (in my unbiased opinion of course) for both marshalling and spectating because it's very easy to watch 3 or 4 stages each day and still have time for the beer. We are still working out the exact prices but they will be good and include ferry crossing for your car as well as hotel accomodation. I have been organising these trips since 1990 and I can ensure you that all you will have to do is turn up on the boat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All the marshalling points, spectater points,beer points, meal points will be sorted and all you have to do is A, marshal for me at the appointed place B, Enjoy your driving with no upper speed limits C, Like your food D, Like your beer Interested!!! White!!! it would be if i washed it a bit more often, and the only reason its been at Corkills is because my Son wrote off margys Honda Civic Type R! But don't worry the new one is on route and i will start confusing you guys again. I just forget i am not in the scooby when i wave!. Hey Guys, sorry i have missed you and not replied,but I have been away, Seriously though, I ran a Motor club for 15 years in Devon before i moved to this WONDERFULL ISLAND, and I reckon its about time we sorted some sort of meet over here, there are probably more Scoobys here per square mile than anywhere else in the UK (unless you know different of course!!). So come have a natter with me in Onchan (and fill up of course! & yes it is Corkills, but in the part where you get some friendly service, ie the customer come's first,second,third etc etc, and the scooby rumble will always get down from my office!! ) and maybe we could sort out a regular meeting, belive me we need something over here as the Native Motor Clubs are not that friendly, I am up to Stage Commander here now and have sorted out numerous night events for Silverton Motor Club. Is there room within SIDC for a very small but VERY dedicated little group over here in the land of no national speed limits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hi John. Next Years Manx International Rally is from July 31st >August 2nd. There will again be a marshals package which helps with getting the car across the water & gives a reduced hotel rate. I will let you know (i might even write an article for True Grip!!) nearer the time what it is likely to cost, but it will be less than the other weekend because their is not any entertainment provided and you just get wet on top of the round table!!. But rest assured I will keep you all occupied, monday through to sunday is usually the best as it gives you a couple of days to look round before helping me from wednesday onwards. Just a quick note. A Big thank you to all of you that came over to the Isle of Man this past weekend. If you enjoyed it half as much as Margaret And myself (Richard, XMN555) did, then you will already be looking forward to another year!!! And to all of you that did not come over!!, you will never know just what a great weekend you missed, Margy even did a Sun dance!!which worked as well. But who was taking the photos at the grandstand and how can i get some here on the Island.
