  1. Theres no point putting an induction kit on it mate. Best thing is a Cossie panel filter, or Green filter. But don't think that will increase your BHP by any sizeable amount. TBH i've never heard of a PPP actually making the claimed 305ps. In fact if you got it on the rollers you'll probably find your PPP puts out anywhere from around 285+ and with the filter changed make another 5.
  2. New 'serious' Topgear. Love it! So £5000 challenge then? Surely a scoob would have been a better proposition than a ghastly M3?! Personally i'd have a yellow Evo IV or yellow Scoob Type-R
  3. Was a good day out. Good to meet you again fella. The scoob was looking great
  4. Agree. They seem to overlap. Might give them a go though anyway.
  5. Has been posted before but still mighty impressive
  6. Nice one Stu I'll be happy to receive a set of white ones to test lol! TBH i'm not sure they would be very attractive on my blue and gold wheel'd scoob But i'm considering the white ones to go on our, hopefully if we buy, Clio 200
  7. I've seen this company advertised for a while now, Alloygator, and was wondering if anyone on here has tried them and any reviews? Alloygator I think these are a good idea. But i'm not fully convinced.
  8. I'd get myself another EP3 CTR and if there was enough change beef up the brakes and strip the interior for track fun Or, get another Vauxhall Monaro! Think they have come down to around 10k now. Lovin' Renault Sports at the moment too, so maybe with some hardball haggling a new RS Twingo cup, or used Clio Trophy In fact the missus and me are looking into replacing her Clio 1.2 for a spank new Clio 200 cup Ok for a little more than 10k but... Woohoo!
  9. Very very nice Best model of scoob too ...not that i'm biased
  10. No idea whose, but i've had the same thing a few times, and indeed if i can i park next to other scoobs if theres enough room. You just know that the fellow owner won't ding your car
  11. Can anyone tell me where i can get an original, or as good as, Subaru badge for the boot of my 2003? I want to put the letters back on but my dealer wants £50 Better add that i want original lettering, not S C O O B Y (note the dodgey font as i've seen for sale B) ) I want it just as it should be S U B A R U Thanks.
  12. You'll need to know the pitch of the thread too. Bolts aren't just length and diameter Loving the carbon BTW
  13. Your local to me mate, and i use Scoobyworld in Loughborough. Bit of a trek (200mile round trip) but they offer great service and do any work required, including a new clutch. They sell Exedy too, HERE
  14. A classic with similar power to your newage will feel like a rocket ship. Classics are a fair chunk lighter. Is there a way you can test drive another WRX of similar age and spec? i'e a newage. That might give you a better comparison.
  15. You can host images through photobucket without being a full member fella. I'm usually free Friday afternoons for a mini meet if anyone else is, though that can sometimes change at the drop of a hat with work Thats a very nice Blob eye mate I once used my old WRX dolled up like that for a wedding, i was first to the bar for the reception  I won't spot you later then, not heading out for a while yet! Though i do need to stretch the scoobs legs this weekend
  16. Yeah STi suffer quite bad with it, but the WRX can get it as well. Subaru have been replacing them under warranty with a bit of a push Paul used to work there back in 2003 when i brought my first one. Had that and my second one serviced there each year until i sold up and got Vauxhall's ( iwork for Vauxhall and get company cars). When i came to buy the STi Quenbys didn't do them anymore But i hear they now get scoobs from a new supplier in Bristol or something. I'm glad to have a choice of dealer near to me again A mini meet? Might be able to do it, depends when Mr Windscreen, get a piccy up
  17. Not quite sure how there is more room in the BM, suppose he virtually lays down to drive it Welcome to SIDC fella, loving your scoob, looks great!
  18. Are they knocking then? Think all the newages have had a bout of that I only found out last week that Quenby's was still trading and servicing scoobs I originally bought my very first WRX from there, but got my current from Slipend. I was under the impression Quenby's has ceased trading. But then i bumped into Paul Colton, do you know him? Nice bloke, used to work at Quenby's but now works at Gates Ford, which was where i saw him and he told me about Quenby's still doing scoobs
  19. My 03 non-dccd STi type UK is regarded as a version 8. A 05 with dccd would be a version 9 even though they look the same. Believe that is also true of jdm models.
  20. I'm right on the border of Hertfordshire. Not far from the A505 to Hitchin. Wigmore in Luton. Was in Letchworth last friday in my scoob, Saw a Blue Hawk STi near Morrisons I'll prob be back that way this coming Friday to as i'll be visiting Norton Way Honda to mooch round a CTR Mugen ( i won't be buying though, been invited by one of the sales guys who i've known for years, he used to have a scoob too )
