suspension has arrived all appears to be well but looking through the jap instructions one thing stands out. Can anyone who reads japanese tell me what its saying? Its the circled part with ! sign. Is it just a seal of somesort? Its not in the package, so would just liek to know what the booklet is saying about it. [/

I've got a refurb kit now for the rear 2 pots but... the kit consists of 2 dust caps, 2 weird rubber washer things, 2 piston seals, 4 rubber squashy things and two securing clips I thought there would have been 4 dust caps and 4 seals, with them being 2 pot and to do both sides.... I haven't had the calipers off yet so am just guessing. Could anyone clarify for me (I did buy a kit from subaru for the front 4 pots and the one kit did both sides. Does it sound like the kit I have for the rear just does one caliper?)

hardish foam radiator roller. Just make sure you take your time and roll softly, press too hard and you'll have to get the black out again.

busy refurbing the calipers now... a few pistons were very sticky... one was jammed solid (had to bash it free with WD40 and mallet/wood) For reference..... If you are looking for a caliper service kit just buy it from Subaru UK... half the price of online sellers etc! Ebay etc is £22 for 1 caliper kit. Subaru was £20 for kit containing seals etc for both front calipers! gave the calipers a good soak in hot soapy water and then through the dishwasher LOL seemed to clean them up quite well! painting them up now just ordered some pagid RS 4-2-1 pads for the front.

anyone rate Pagid RS421's? The part no for DS2500's is FCP986H

Hi.... I'm busy refurbing my calipers at the moment and would like to fit new pads. Either Ferrodo DS2500 or Mintex 1155's/1144's Does anyone know the correct part no's for them as the guides on sites are a bit misleading. My pad shape looks like a >98 non STi in some cases!!! My car is a 97 STi IV with 4 pot fronts. From memory they def look like this which is listed as PRODUCT MODEL YEAR 98-2002- Incl WRX but NOT STi thankyou

Doh. Skyline kissed a tyre wall head on at knockhill today Coming into chicane. Car got out of shape, but got through chicane at least but side ways out the end.... opp lock... some gas... nope... onto grass.... splat!!! Have a vid of it...
