  2. how on earth do they keep the gobstopper so clean
  3. http://www.tsl-timing.com/attack/2009/92070.pdf 8th in class finish for Fee in the final her fastest lap of day was 58.437s, but a possible best of 58.268s going by best sector times. Warm up.... some close times in practice!!! qualifying final
  4. smashing I think she's stiull trying to build up the wet weather confidence after Oulton She was out on the worn tyres though, so that wouldnt have helped!
  5. perfecto - I need to log out as Fee LOL I've posted (quoted) yours on TS too
  6. great pics Col I popped 'em on TS Any of Fee... she said she had feck all grip!!!
  7. Saturday afternoon
  8. Just the one code. Just cleaned the AFM (which was really manky) and it seems to be better (it revs when I press on the accelerator now)....still not 100% though i don't think
  9. Checked the fault code this morning.....22 - Knock Sensor I'm no wiser!
  10. No, not had a chance to look at it properly yet. Will do over the weekend
  11. Thanks, I will check it out at lunchtime Cheers for the offer Daz, got my sister coming down to give me a hand towing it home, won't be able to look at it properly until the weekend
  12. I've broken it....for the second time! Should have just bloody taken the Navara....the only reason I took the Impreza was because it was facing the right way!!!
  13. Na, driving through traffic so pretty tame the whole way It's been driving a bit 'rough' the last couple of times I've been out in it....kinda stalling/pausing mid acceleration
  14. Went out this morning to pick up a parcel. 5 minutes or so on the way and the check engine light came on ....just after the car just spluttered and cut out. The car is starting again, but only stays ticking over for a short spell, lumpy idle and then cuts out again. There is no power, I can put my foot down, but the car doesn't go anywhere Haven't had a chance to look at it yet...had to beach it and get a lift to work. Any thoughts? I was thinking maybe an intercooler pipe had blown off....but the 'check engine' light seems a bit strange. Cheers Fee
  15. Aim to heat wrap them at some point, same with the downpipe etc.
  16. Thats the car sounding better and possibly feeling a bit perkier too Of the possible 6 studs/nuts for the manifold only 1 was tight! Replaced the missing stud and nipped up the rest. No blowing felt and a much less ticky sound. Also patched the hole in the down pipe and redid the gasket with some gasket paste at down pipe to centre section as you could see soot on the underside of the car. Not overly fussed on quality of those repairs as it'll as be getting replaced! EVO coolent pipe of and silicon one on. Not the best fit, but much better than the Evo one that was just hanging on. Really handy having the ramp to sort things out
  17. HE HAD NO BRAKES!!!! Hence entering corner to hot! The first clip was a cockup on his part (red 106/saxo crash)... and he has been man enough to admit that as far as i'm aware. To fast perhaps but cliping the dirt and bouncing the car wouldt have helped either... he then understeered in to the side of it.
  18. I think my point is that he clearly can drive in some of the video evidence. A lot of the clips of the SWB snot green car suggest that the cars handling was very iffy. The clip with the two evo's getting smashed. He was commended by the track marshals for his actions. He had no brakes (no warning signs either apparently) coming into the corner. He then tried to avoid people and scrub off speed by takig the grass. He knew he was in for a big smash, and tried to avoid others. The 106/saxo one was just unfortunate. With hindsight he prob would left off the gas. BUT he was competing in a race... a close fought race. The owner of the 106 new the risks involved and was lucky to get help from Simon. Perhaps its not the best run series though having such differeing cars/classes on track at one time. ALL were racing incidents though. If he was doing this on public roads i'd go as far to call him a plum, but he isnt. Fair game to him... I'm jelous. PS - Its Adam, not Fee
  19. i dont think he's that bad a driver.... prob better than 95% of the country LOL Just a couple of unfortunate failures and misjudgements.
  20. its down on power and esp torque.... for what I'd expect at 1.4bar. BUT... found some problems today that could explain that... and the ticking noise... Exhaust manifold (drivers side) was missing a stud and blowing. Hole in OE exhaust hiding behind the heatshield!!
  21. Righto... Stripped the boot out - Spare wheel, all trim, Rear wiper etc - a good 20kg perhaps Stripped the AirCon out, bar the rad - maybe 15kg saved. Done some poking around... Its running a SARD ECU, and hitting 1.5bar in 5th... would have been a fair amount of load on the as it was uphill. Hitting 1.0bar in 3rd on flat. Pitty no one took up that £10 bet Coilovers are TEIN Sport Spec Type HR's - Cant see any listings for them on the TEIN site... but they dont 'feel' great for track work. Its running aftermarket headers, BUT standard down pipe and frot pipe with BOTH cats still seemingly inplace. I'm sure the rattly noise is an exhaust gasket or heatshield. Whilst on the rollers there didnt seem to be any DET or untoward knocking. It ran 274bhp and 227lb/ft... boost peaked around 19.5psi and fueling was quite rich, or safe enough. pics of todays pish.... will scan the plots when in a bit. Big thanks to Russ at WP for fitting me in this afternoon. RR Graphs
  22. got it home now... had a wee run to go get dinner. Seems fine.... a wee noise around 3-4krpm that wasnt there last week. Not sure what it is but it just sounds like something rattling. also got some spares... 6 speedlines, 2 fog light covers and a steering wheel boss. Just need a nice steering wheel to go with it now ....
  23. i'll get it sorted out once we have buckets/mounts/harnesses
  24. use it as is just now - see what needs the most attention LOL I'll get the oil changed and then see if Russ can pop it on the rollers for a wee healthcheck. Immediate plans (once funds allow!) are uprated brakes, 888/slicks. I'll have to see what the TEINS are like on it. Couldnt see the stickers to see the model. Hopefully they are decent Anyone needing interior parts?
  25. I didnt go down...Adam said a lot of the cars advertised are sold now (I think) We have the skyline...it was found about a month after it was stolen with very minimal damage luckily
