<< Dave Looking good Do i recognise this car, same car park as cal, and it looks like am the newest edition to that car park 05 Sti WR Blue with grills etc.... Drop me a line Craig >> Hi Craig I did notice your car on Monday and Tuesday - I do believe I parked very close to you on Monday. We'll have to hook up for a costa with Cal at some point soon. << Looking well nice m8, who did you get to map it in the end then m8? What was it figures after the map? >> - the answer is in my signature. I got my remap done at Wallace Performance - I decided on it having talked to Boyakasha. I made 300bhp and 290ft/lb - that is with both cats still in. So not bad at all. She pulls so hard it is unbelievable - so I can only imagine what Boyakasha's 370bhp monster must have been like. Me thinks alot of fun. << PS car looks stunning in the flesh, keep up the good work Dave Boyakasha << Thanks chief and yes I shall Dave

I only had the silvertec bulbs for the rear indicators (are they the same as the fronts??? I think the front bulbs are smaller aren't they!!!) - I am assuming that you could just get them from a Halfords or an Autosave, although I don't know any part numbers I'm afraid. Sorry I can't be more help. Dave

There are so many things that I would want to put on. It just depends on what I can convince the Mrs to let me put on. Let me think........ 1. Front Lip Spoiler, 2. Knocklink Indicator, 3. Decat Centre Section - not yet convinced on this one, 4. Strut Brace, 4. STi 10 Rear Lights - these are definitely going on the car if they fit, 5. Cut Down Front Number Plate - doing this this afternoon, 6. Engine Dress Up Bits................. I could go on.... Dave PS: What have you got planned next?

Anyone going to KH on Sunday not on the track?
clutdav replied to gus the bus's topic in Scottish Scoobies
I was thinking of heading down for a wee squint. Not 100% sure yet as I depends on what the Mrs has in store for me this weekend. Dave -
<< Looking good mate Iain >> Thanks Iain. How's the downpipe? You enjoying it? Dave
-
Which bulbs as the main beam on the front headlights and the rear indicators are now changed? Dave
-
Well as you can tell I was de-tango'd last night, so a big thank you goes out to Marc (aka Boyakasha) for doing the swap. I have now got Marc's de-tango'd headlights which clean up the look of the front end of the car, and also some silvertec bulbs in the rears. So no headlight baking for me - thank goodness! It makes such a difference to the front of the car - if you don't believe me have a look for yourself. Before Front Back After Front Back Nae bad eh? Dave

<< Just preparing myself after the 6 points I got last month. Car will be gone by next weekend to the dealer if I don't sell private. Marc >> Well good luck with the sale - shame really. Dave

Why have you decided to sell the motor? And what are you wanting to get? Dave

clutdav replied to ~ ~ Cal ~~'s topic in Scottish Scoobies
SO then Cal did you get a load of camcorder footage? And when are we going to see this appearing on your website? Dave -
Thanks for that Marc. Are you aware of anyone else having a re-map done at Wallace Performance? Dave
-
Howdy everyone, I have recently fitted a K&N Typhoon cold air induction kit to my UK Sti9. Following on from some concerns that forum users posted regarding possible detonation and lean running I got a power run and fuelling diagnostics done on the scooby at Wallace Performance. I have to say a big thank you to the guys there as they fitted me straight in at short notice. It turns out that the car wasn't running lean at all - in fact the factory ECU was compensating by significantly over fuelling and thus sapping all the power that the exhaust and induction kit should have given. Therefore a re-map should release this power potential and also sort out the fuelling in the process. I suppose the real question I have is has anyone from the forum had a re-map done at Wallace Performance? And more importantly what was your impressions of them and the car afterwards? From first impressions they seem to be knowledgable and friendly - I would just like to hear someone else's opinion before I potentially part with a lot of money. Thanks guys and gals I look forward to hearing from you. Dave
-
Ah that would make sense. Dave
-
How did you manage to get your windows tinted for £10? WHen I got my Civic Type R done it cost me £200 for the side, rear and hatch windows. Dave
-
Cal, I have the STi springs that came off my car sitting in the garage. If you are interested then drop me a line. Dave
-
Thank you and I will. Dave
-
Well all I can say is that my friend has been running the exact same kit on a '04 STi for over 12 months and nothing has gone wrong. It is my understanding that the factory ecu is adaptable and modifies the fuel maps according to the increased air flow. That's what I am led to believe anyway - although I may be corrected................... Dave
-
Well good luck selling it. It looks like she is in good nick so it must only be a matter of time. Catch ya soon. Dave
-
Hey Mike how are things going? You still running the Accord Type R? What have you been up to? Dave
-
<< Think your gonna get a few replies recommending a remap with all that extra air your flowing Forced induction/cold air kits without a remap can cause lean running = DET which is bad !! Who fitted it BTW as I'm looking to get one? Neil >> Well the engine management light is off and the car seems happy - so fingers crossed everything will be ok. I got mine fitted and supplied through CHeckpoint in Aberdeen. I have a friend that works there so I get money off. Dave
