  1. Thank goodness everyone was alright. Cars can be fixed.............people.................no! Dave
  2. << Work >> Yep the necessary evil - but hey it pays for mods.........
  3. PS: scientific steve Wuz is the man for fitting your gauges....... Dave
  4. Wuz you sure he is not running on commision for you............ How are you getting on? SPlitter went on yesterday - looks the dogs........ Dave
  5. I had the misfortune of being stuck in a 45min tailback on the A96 going home last night. We were routed off the A96 Northbound at the Tyrebagger junction down through the forrest and out through the back roads. From what I could tell at the time the accident must have happened on the bend before you head down the hill into the Blackburn - I could see some flashing lights through the trees. Anyway, I watched "North Tonight" to try and find out what happened. It appears that a male lost his life as his car left the northbound carriageway - how I don't know - hence the road was closed for hours. The point of this message is please be careful everyone - yes we have high performance cars but it is no substitute for common sense and knowing your limitations. Dave
  6. Absolutely fantastic I nearly wet myself. Dave
  7. Car looks great with the nice clean look at the front now. I would recommend the remap though as it transforms the car and makes it into a straight line animal. Dave
  8. << Standard RB5 With Decat V's Prodrive Sti9 decatted ? Beg to differ am afraid Craig >> Ha ha I wondered how long it would take before you disagreed with Russ...........good effort! Dave
  9. Thanks for that I'll let Chris know. Dave
  10. << I would think it would be quite a fast car guys, anyone notice the "BHP Developments" sticker on the back? Like to hazard a guess who fitted all his stuff for him (Brakes, Defi's, KnockLink)?...................and he still has the Cat Downpipe in as I changed it for his MOT and we'll (hopefully) get it changed back when I get home. Then it really flies Russell >> Wuz, I did notice your handy work sticker on the back of Chris' RB5. How's things? Dave
  11. Hi guys and gals I am posting on behalf of Chris Blair (some of you may remember him - nice BHP developments RB5). Can you please remind me of some mobile dent removal companies based in and around the Aberdeen area. We have been doing internet searches and can't find any local ones. Any help would be much appreciated. Ta guys Dave
  12. << Dave Standing start straight line? twisty's? Do you think it wolud keep up with you?Is it fit to beat your one? Craig >> Craig, I think that Chris's RB5 would get off the line slightly quicker than our 300bhp STi v9's, due to the turbo coming in eariler and small matter of a 200kg advantage, but we would go past it as the speed increases due to the higher torque and power. I think rolling start with our turbos going we would beat it but his turbo comes in around 2750 rpm! On the twisty's it would be very close. If we keep our DCCD's in auto mode then it would be even steven's - although we should have the extra adjustability to take it in the end. Having said that the RB5 is a very accomplished car and feels really rather rapid. I was impressed as it was a very easy car to drive quickly. Dave
  13. << Folks Where and what deals have you recived for the above? Or will i just get the PPP ones done? Craig >> Craig if you want we can go out for a quick ride in mine so you can see what the prodrive springs are like?? I would recommend them....... Dave
  14. That was the first time that I have been in a classic shaped scooby - apart from a WRX wagon, which was driven very slowly. There was none of the neck snapping acceleration that you get in a v9. It was a very smooth power delivery starting much lower down in the rev range - smaller turbo maybe. I can testify that the yoko parada's (I think that's what they were called) he has on the car are very good in the dry. A lighter car with 260-270bhp is quite a lot of fun - but I would NOT swap mine for the world. your not going to tell me it is fit for your car are you Dave? - I am not sure what you mean Craig??? Dave
  15. Will do chief. We went out for a blast in the cars this lunch time. He has a Biltz NUR exhaust, prodrive monoblock brake calipers on the front, knocklink led indicator, and Defi BF gauges (love these by the way) from what I can tell. But boy it flys - very different power delivery to our STi v9's. Nice guy we'll have to organise a costa skive next week. Dave
  16. Found the owner of the grey RB5 at Tullos. It is a new start in my well engineering group that owns it - he is totally scooby mad aswell. Another scooby nut at Shell coolio......... Dave
  17. Just doesn't look right for me as it doesn't have the STi spoiler on the back.............. Dave
  18. Nope mate wasn't me - is there another crystal grey STi in Aberdeen???? Dave
  19. So I take it this thread has died a slow death then..............shame! Dave
  20. << Dave Stop card them for not being safe members Craig >> I like your devious mind at work - and ideas for a reasonable stop card entry??? Dave
  21. I too have seen the cars in the carpark but have never seen the individuals that own them. If we had fliers for the club we could put some on their windscreens - but I don't think security would give us their names. Come on guys if you are already members let yourselves be known. Dave
  22. Any good times yet guys and gals?? Dave
  23. I usually get around 190 - 200 miles on 3/4's of a tank which is my usual refill point and is around £35 - £40's worth. I am getting around 22 - 24mpg which is all back roads and 30 - 40mph zones. So all in I am rather happy with this as the standard 265 bhp STi is supposed to give 25 mpg combined and I have a 300bhp/290ftlbs remap all-be-it with an economy map in 6th gear. Dave
  24. Come on peeps..........
