  1. Now you know i'm gonna hold you to that mate. I've got a fully loaded toolbox and not a clue how to use it Cheers for the help folks
  2. Sshh Looks like i'll just strip some bits off stick the harness in and get it on a trailer down to knockhill sometime
  3. Big thanks to Euan for letting me ride alongside for a few laps today. You seemed to be doing bl**dy well for a first timer mate.
  4. Cheers for that. After being out with Euan today at the track day i need to get myself sorted out soon. That was good fun even in the passanger seat
  5. I'm after a bit of advise on turning my scoob into a track car. I decided to sorn it a few weeks ago and have bought a van to run just now. What are the rules about putting a car on the track, does it need to be mot'd or insured? I don't intend going daft modding it to the max but figured my brakes would be the most important item, so will the standard 4 pots be up to the job? I've never been on a track day but really fancy trying this, just want to do it as cheaply as possible and see how it goes. Just wish i was ready to go so i could've done John's novice day tomorrow. Thanks Kev
  6. Snap, just put mine off the road , hopefully this will happen again as i've never had my car on the track but plan to do so.
  7. Nice one Gordon, hopefully going to do the same thing with mine now. I put it off the road at the weekend after buying a van. Couldn't bring myself to sell it to some scabby chav so i just parked it up. Keep us updated mate.
  8. My wife has had a Qashqai as a hire car a couple of times for her work. She hated it, said it was as bad as the Fiat brava she'd had other times. No specific reasons just didn't like it, think rear visibility is poor, it must be bad if she's saying that as she drives a Grand Vitara which i wouldn't recommend either. I know a few folk with Kuga's and they all seem happy with them.
  9. Any slaters on here looking for a homer? I've got some warped sarking that might fit there.
  10. Never used them, didn't like the look of the place. I went to Falkland to get mine done. Good enough job . £55 or there abouts. Need to get it done again after getting a new wheel bearing, i was going to try checkpoint too.
  11. There has been a helicopter up around Dundee yesterday and today.

  13. Just tried an online quote with Admiral, £1080 to insure the scoob and wifes jeep with both of us as named drivers , never mind trying to add the crewcab(which i couldn't bring the details up for). Thats a shocking price, about £500 more than we're paying for separate policies at the moment.
  14. Looking for a bit of advice on insuring more than one motor at a time. I'm currently insuring the scoob only but i've now got the use of a crewcab pickup (not owned by me or insured at all) and i'm probably getting a van soon(will be registered by me). What's the best and cheapest way to get me on the road with these vehicles?, i could also put the wifes jeep on there too and have her as a named driver? Anybody got a policy that would cover my needs? Help please
  15. That's a bit cr*p. My wife got her wheels replaced on her grand vitara for the same reason but they're nearly as bad again, out of warranty now though. And a friend of mine went through 4 sets on a lexus he had, something to do with a lack of protective coating to the inside of the rims. Hope you get it all sorted.
  16. Didn't know you were still kicking about in here buddy, How's tricks? And slightly off topic, has anybody had a renault diesel mapped? or to be more specific, it's a suzuki GV but the engine is a Renault.
  17. Gordon, (P1GGM) on here does the polishing valet type stuff. He is in Dundee, would certainly be worth a pm.
  18. Just curious mate, i'm the same, my ecu can't be remapped either. I just bolted bits on and screwed the boost up . Very agricultural but it works well.
  19. Have you had it remapped for the sports cat if you're keeping it on? Would the pops and bangs not blow the guts out of your cat?
  20. Nice 350z, always liked them. My mate has just taken delivery of a new 370z, it's a nice place to sit in
