  4. Nope! not recieved any messages from you.
  5. AHHHHHH..... you diden't tell me it could catch alight. Glad i have a fire extinguisher under my passenger seat lol I can put out my eyebrows lol
  6. Thanks for your help yestarday Deano, sorry it was a pig of aday for you.
  7. I know, they kept going on about Maidstone citizens would get priority.... Yeh right. I don't know anyone in Maidstone who's got any either.
  8. Radio 1's party in the park.. In Mote Park.
  9. Got my email today, confirming... I diden't get any tickets . Bloody cheek, as i can see most of Mote park from my house.
  10. I'll give it a try, i sprayed the offending coil with wd40, the engine became nice and quite smooth.
  11. Thanks, i will do. I edited my post because i wrote that just after attempting to fit them and was not in the best moods. I'm just so dissapointed because i was assured the first time i phoned up for a return, that they would 100% fit.
  12. Not yet, no, apparently Wednesday if not a good day to phone David (his out mapping all day). I might give them a try tomorrow. Not sure if there take them back though as i've had them for a few weeks now.
  13. I phoned the day after i found out about my engine, and they said there definatly fit. I just need to use the one bolt. It wasen't David i was speaking to that time though.
  14. Well ******* talks utter crap, sorry if i've offended anyone. But i was told these coil packs would fit my engine (those at the last meet would know why it's different). But they simply don't or ever will, the brass ring around the bolt hole is for a 12mm fitment, and mines a 10mm fitment. Without chopping the coil to peices there is absolutly no way there going to fit. I'm so p***ed off with companys fobbing me off. On the plus side, i removed the coil pack on no 3 cylinder, the one where all my noises are coming from. And it's got about a 2mm(width) crack running from bottom-top. Does anyone have any temporary fixes for this as I think this is causing all my issues? Spot on diagnosis from Deano Edit: Removed the company's name, i was abit angry earlier. It's not fair on them really.
  15. I'm hoping so, Still going to get another engine though lol. Want a 2.5 now . But would be nice to have a fully working engine whilst i save for the block. As dean said, a bearing knock woulden't get better and my problem is getting less frequent. Might knock tonight, as it's really chucking it down now, and my car always plays up in damp weather.
  16. I'm going to attempt to fit them tomorrow, see if that makes any difference. Hope it does, would love to have a reliable car for the show next week.
  17. I'll bring £20 on monday with me dazzler.
  18. Deano had a little listen to my car today, and sure enough the git of a car ran perfect. But from what i explained to him, he seems to think it's nothing as serious as a bottom end knock. Due to the fact it's comes and goes whenever it pleases, and doesen't knock the moment it's stated, but a few minutes after. Deano's diagnosis..... A coil has fully broken down, unbalencing the engine.
  19. Ah I totally forgot about this event, I hope the car will be back on the road before this. Will be a close one.
  20. So if a bearing has worn, the oil will have metal filings in? Meaning if the oil is clear, then it can't be a main bearing? Hmmm intregued now.
  21. Looking very good, You got anything else to put on it? Edit: maybe you could bring it to the BHP show
  22. Not dropped the oil yet, need to get round to ordering some. Though at £45, for an engine that might only last another 30-40miles, it's not on the top of my list
  23. Yeh, i put them back on the same night (pulled over near maidstone, and fitted them using a torch lol). The car got much more response and better running, but the knocking noise returned, though not as loud. Whats your thoughts on the knocking? Think my engine is knackered? I've decided to change the engine regardless of the condition of engine, but just want the car to last until the end of May (BHP & Hastings runs)
  24. Haha, i really should have. It had better had hold on, or it's going to get a kick up the tail pipe.
  25. I spoke too soon... Noises reappeared last night, 4 times, going to limit driving it now. Might get someone to diagnose the problem before the 5th as I've noticed alot of hesitation & missing along with holding back & loss of rpm when idle. I've heard that timing belt tensioners sound like knocking once there knackered. Might be worth checking.
