Thanks mate, it,a blowing a fair bit by the soot marks around it. Can't wait to get it sorted, gasket turned up today. & going to subaru to collect springs tomorrow. Just need to bug deano again. Thanks also dazzler for letting me know it dident sound quite right. I,d have probably not known for awhile otherwise.

Update, when i finished work alittle while ago, i decided to lay under the car to see any leaks (easy to see in the cold, before you all call me nuts lol). Confirmed my thought about the downpipe-centre is leaking pretty bad, Would this be the cause to my exhaust not sounding as loud as it should? Kinda happy i've seen the leak with my eyes, as now i know the new gasket is going to make a difference.

Ah i dunno what to do, I'll gladly pay the extra price if it means the exhaust will sit properly on the hangers. but if they make no difference then i am going to kick myself for wasting that kind of money. Deano thinks it's the missing springs causing the issue, and i don't think i've met anyone else who knows more about this kind of stuff. Got to pick them up on wednesday, so i've got a day to decide.... Thank you so much though for your help and offer.

I wonder if there is a difference in the bolts? if not then i could be tempted to take up your offer, £33 for 2 bolts, nuts & springs is abit on the expensive side.

Deano says i need the springs, so there is abit of give in the exhaust so it will sit over and onto the hangers correctly.

I've not paid for the parts yet, just put my name down. It's alot of money, but i guess i'll know it will fit with minimum fuss.
