Well mines almost ready, spent 7 hours on it today. Just a few more little bits to touch up. An hour of that time was spent under the car polishing the backbox. Haven't had time to 3 stage the wheels though.

I got a nur spec R, just need a engine to connect it too lol. The centre on the R has another baffled section, maybe this helps the noise more (makes it deeper). Unless Blitz use a different baffle in the S system.

I'll let you know tomorrow if the car's fit enough to make the journey. Doesen't sound too good at the moment though . I will still be coming to the show, only catching a lift in my brothers BMW if mines dead.

Changed the oil, and now it knocks even more. It just knocks whenever it feels like it. I was tidying up the garage with the engine running on idle, and it must of knocked about 3-4 times intermittenly. Did plan to clean it up ready for the bhp show, but i'm so sick of the car right now.

Dropped my old oil out today, although there is nothing major that stands out in the oil, there is a fair amount of black bits. I'm no expert, but I think it's byee byee engine no 2.

Anyone know locally where i can get some half decent oil (fully or semi synthetic) + do Subaru keep filters in stock? If i can scramble the parts together, i'm going to do a emergency oil change tomorrow to find out for certain.

Noise is back, this time worse than ever. Car was driving fine until about 5 mins into driving, when knocking returned, only this time, it woulden't stop until I finally managed to get it home . Really does sound like the engine is eating itself. I swear if it doesen't make it until the show, then thats my time up with this car.

The government finally responded to a petition made about the high fuel duty (june 18th 2007, almost a year ). Got there in the end, had to take it off the car and run degreaser through it. The amount of dirt came out was disgusting.

does anyone have washer jets with a slot opening instead of the normal type.. so that the water is dispensed as a mist to avoid impairing visability. My car has these things, and one has decided to block up & been struggling for the last 2 hours to unblock it. how do you unblock these things?

I'd never sell for £70, there brand new & tested. These are the single bolt type. I need the 2 bolt type (see how many people know there subaru's ) These cost me £230 on the 16th, so anyone who offers me £70 for these, are going to get a kick up the a***. I'll give the company a phone tomorrow, to see if they can still refund it. Though i doubt it.

I've not even tried to phone the company today... as i can't find the invoice. So annoying, because I never lose any paperwork. I have a file for all my subaru stuff, Still got invoices for buying a sump washer. I've spent all this morning looking for it, and it's nowhere . It's got there name written on the box & there test date on the coils, but without a invoice i'm screwed. Might put them up for sell on ebay, see if i can get most of my money back there.
