Sadly Lee, it happens regularly in London - none of the satnav stuff these little fcukers nick works without any of the internal comms stuff embedded into the vehicles - it just means our crews have to spend hours off road getting new stuff fitted and reconfigurated and the comms firm tend to work on a 9-5 basis so steal it Friday at 6pm and the vehicles laid up until lunchtime Monday at least. As expected another very busy night at work - we took our 1000th call for an ambulance at 01.56 and our 2000th at 03.35, so generally averaging 600 calls an hour - most of the calls had the words . . . floor, lying, drunk, fallen, assaulted. . . . in them somewhere so clearly there was a lot of people had a good time This contrasts with the build up to Christmas when we usually do around the 4000 mark a day!
