  1. Just had a look at the Ace Cafe site and they've got a Decades of Performance Car Meet on from 4pm - 50yrs of modding from 50s to present day. All cars have to be Show Class - Ice cars, Show cars, Demo cars and . . . . . . . . .Show Girls
  2. Nancy heard that her very elderly grandfather had died over the weekend and thought she'd go round and console her gran. Over a cup of tea she asked how her grandfather had died, after all he was in good health and she'd only seen him the previous week. Gran said that he died during a bout of lovemaking on the Sunday morning. "What?" said Nancy "You are both nearly 100 years old and lovemaking at that age must surely have had its risks?" "Oh no" said Gran "We used to make love once a week to the rhythm of the church bells welcoming everyone along to Sunday service - he used to go in when the bell 'dinged' and out when it 'donged'. . . . . . sadly last Sunday the ice-cream van passed by at the same time and it was all too much for him"
  3. Will meet you at Ace Cafe as I'll not be away from Putney until 5 - did pm Trevor my mobile but have had no reply and no contact numbers with anyone else going along
  4. Ian, unless you're going to the London tunnel run tomorrow I'll try and get past your place and drop the money in

  7. Won't know for sure until tomorrow but assume that I'll meet you at Ace Cafe unless I post up on here otherwise ok Will pm you my mobile number so you can let me know if you others decide not to go
  8. If you have a look at the London Regions thread there's a link to Scoobynet Southern Section (perhaps someone could put a direct link in here?) in which the route is laid out - plenty of opportunity to get lost They're meeting at Ace Cafe from 5.30 onwards and setting off from 7pm in small groups although there's over 35 names on the list already lol If we're going, I'd reckon we'd have to leave 4.30ish to guarantee getting there for 6? I might be over Fulham on Sunday so perhaps have to meet up en route although probably easier to meet you at Ace Cafe
  9. Think I may have spotted you on Sunday in Welling - I was at the traffic lights at the end of Welling Way
  10. Dear Mr Brown, I thought that if I left a bucket on the side the British public might like to empty out its pockets and chuck in any loose change we might have. The collection thus generated, being taxpayers money, will then be set to one side and used to fund any demonstration that any wasters or foreign parties care to have in this country. For the past 24 hours we've had police, coastguards, ambulance and fire brigade staff on scene and standby for some ****ing Tamils who are threatening to torch themselves or throw themselves off Westminster Bridge. There is of course the knock on effect of the inconvenience to pedestrians and road users who can't cross the bridge and so on. Why do we allow them to get away with this? Yours, Angry from Tunbridge Wells
  11. See that Essex SC are meeting South East Scoobies for a run to Brighton - anyone here going? They're leaving Thurrock at 08.30 and meeting SES at Pease Pottage around 09.30
  12. I know its perhaps asking the bleeding obvious, but if its a form is there any reason why it can't be posted?
  13. They'd think you were Wayne bloody Rooney or another premiership tart . . . then again, suppose they fall into the pimps category of a sort
  14. ". . . but the Pageant's on the 14th - that's 5 days beforehand - surely the babys room is gonna be done by then? Go on Rachel, let him out for a few hours - it'll be his last chance before all those sleepless nights begin to kick in
  15. Think the next size up is called a Sherman or Centurion and has an effing great cannon on the top
  16. . . . sounds a little sus. . . little package
  17. 3 fish fingers don't go far . . . . are you allowed to buy complete packets?
  18. You spotted his April Fool as well Did you spot the second deliberate mistake? . . . . . PoRsers cruise . . . . sorry Hugh, we'll be like that when we're that old although I'm not far off now
  19. seems like a good idea - saves people keep asking for directions
  20. Lot of new guys and gals joined up lately and they all ask for maps, directions etc. Could I perhaps once again suggest that maps for, say, The Wharf and Notcutts and even The Mariners (?) be set up in the important topics section. Other venues could then be added if they become regular haunts
  21. See that the London boys and gals have organised a run for 12 April - leaving the Ace Cafe around 7-730pm and ending up at the O2. This is Easter Sunday, the weekend of the Lydden rallycross although I believe anyone going is planning on the Monday. Anyone fancy a run out? Could always meet them halfway, although perhaps making an outing of it with eats at the Cafe before we left . . . . ?
