  1. Morning folks and Happy Christmas. Sadly at work until 6.30 tonight but been its pretty qu..t so far (not allowed to say the q.... word in case something kicks off ) No doubt it'll liven up later on when kids start falling off their new bikes and breaking limbs and families start stabbing each other after a few too many Christmas drinks. For the saner members of society, have a safe day
  2. Yes, on our way to Morrisons - exciting jet-set life I lead. . . .hairdressers Monday, Morrisons Thursday and spotted both days Were you in your car? Passed your place on way home - those bloody traffic lights!
  3. Its handy though if you want 'family bucket' tattooed on your arm and you need to know the best place to go for it
  4. . . . .but with dads hairstyle Looks like you'll have to start washing the car yourself now Lee
  5. Yep, at the hairdressers
  6. Such an in-depth, far-reaching question as this really does deserve a response, so here are my thoughts on this matter for what they're worth; Steps are generally only a few in number - steps to a front door for example - as compared to stairs which are indoor and tend to be higher ie connecting different floors. Stairs is an abridged form of staircase (or stairway) and the term 'case' implies an enclosed/encased structure which is the norm with indoors. Stairs tend to be of a solid structure - having tread, sides and riser - as compared to steps which tend to have just an open tread. Let the debate begin. . . . Another thought - Why do we park on a driveway and not drive on a parkway? Why is there only one monopolies commission.....the list of stupid questions is endless Bored now
  7. How appropriate - a new Kfc near Sicup Hill
  8. Bet you're wondering what she's gonna give you Christmas Day now
  9. How much are they Dean?
  10. Reading between the lines, thats a yes then
  11. Personally, I haven't got the faintest idea what you're talking about . . . . pcd?. . . offset?
  12. Have you given up the day job and become a stalker?
  13. . . . . is there something you want to tell us Hugh
  14. Guilty on all counts - registration a bit of a giveaway I suppose
  15. Popped into the local audio shop today and been told its an internal wire/loop that often goes on the mask-type units -quoted £70 plus vat , which is cheaper than replacing entire unit
  16. Wonder if their "....donation to charity....." is going to amount to the entire profit they make over and above the original cost ? If not, its a pity they didn't resell it to ,say ,no 556 on the list who would have just missed out
  17. See its been deleted . . . . . . unless of course you bought it
  18. Mine arrived last week - no 392 (or 372?) out of 555
  19. Its the flip-down one, model KRC-778R. Front doesn't want to move and got no removal keys as it was in the car when I bought it, so might just have to try and run up the audio shop in Welling and let them have a quick look. I'm not a great hi-fi anorak like some on here so the unit's always been good enough for my needs and I've liked the fact that its flip-down rather than a front removal. It's just so bloody annoying trying to operate it in the dark :D
  20. I don't Hugh - I've got a logistics role in the control room - couldn't cope with bandages and plasters Furthermore I'm afraid I couldn't curb my enthusiasm at kicking some pisshead who'd called for an ambulance 'after eating something a bit dodgy'. Obviously his kebab didn't mix with his 10 pints, equal amounts of breezers and weed he'd been smoking. . . . that'll be Friday night in London then! We even have specifically assigned 'booze buses' set up now to cope with these sorts and to save ambulances being used and abused. ps just updated Luxembourg thread
  21. Didn't realise there was such a thing which would explain why the units still working as normal but without any illumination. I must admit I did wonder if it was something other than 'a bulb' as I couldn't imagine one bulb lighting all the display, graphics etc Presume I need to take the unit out, or should I be able to get to it from behind the centre console? Told you I wasn't the sharpest one on the block when it came down to technical stuff
  22. All the lights on my Kenwood unit have gone out and its a real pain trying to change cd's / channels etc when I'm and its dark Since everythings working ok I suspect its probably just a fuse / bulb although it's going to be like rocket science trying to understand how to fix it as I'm not one of the worlds most technically gifted Perhaps its time for a new unit although shame to have to shell out money to replace a unit thats still working
  23. Not yet Hugh, although I have been keeping an eye on their forum and asked if there's any further news. Most of the tour details are in the original post - we just need to let them have some ideas of numbers after Christmas then make our own plans accordingly Update - Its been confirmed that plans for the weekend are as laid out in the original post, save for any changes that might be made nearer the day as regards lunch stops. Road maps don't get handed out until the days of the tour. Did you have anything specific in mind Hugh? Anyone else with any queries? Have a look at the Impreza Club Luxembourg website - there's a specific section on the home page covering their annual tour. Looks like all we need to do then is let the thread run to see what interest we have by the year end and let ICL know, then in the New Year those that are going will need to meet up to plan the trip
  24. That's the trouble with Hugh - its all me me me me me. Wouldn't mind, but does he ever have anything relevant to say?
