  1. << On the graph the torque peaks arround 3600 revs. Can anyone explain why it then drops at 4000 to 290lbft, then rises againg at 4500 to arround 295 lbft. After this it falls steadily. >> Thats usually due to a boost spike on the rollers. This doesn't happen the same on the road as when the power rises the car starts to accelerate harder, on the rollers it is held back regardles of power, hence the boost (read torque) spike. Andy
  2. Intercooler and turbo would be the next move. The original TD04 is pretty much maxed out at this level but the upside is that it is on full boost by circa 2500rpm which makes for a very wide and useable powerband I'm currently running my own WRX 03 on a TD05-18G at circa 375bhp but to be honest, once the testing article is completed for scoobymag, I'll be returning to the TD04 hybrid with 320/320 and full boost from 2600rpm Andy
  3. Yes, feels well fit it does Nice work Wilks/Squirrel Just watch that header tank now !!! Andy
  4. Not me (for a change) but I was up/down that road all day today mapping and the amount of traffic cars out and about was unbelievable ! Just as well we are responsible adults Andy
  5. The ECU will adjust to the idle and cruise conditions but run a bit richer on boost due to the pressure not dropping off on the uprated pump. Thats good for safety though. Andy
  6. JC, you sure thats not NOS in that CO2 bottle of yours

  21. The std bottom end is good for over 400bhp when properly tuned. I know of at least 6 cars that have run for years at this level. A lot of N2O isn't a good idea on a small turbo as the extra exhaust gas that is created has nowhere to go, the wastegate is only sized for the turbos maximum flow normally (some even struggle with that) The result is usually short lived  Andy ps, does my old WRX RA qualify for this thread
  22. I have to say I'm the same when on the 'customer' end of the phone, I expect calls to be returned. On the other end however, as the service provider, it sometimes just isn't possible to do everything you would like to. I am as guilty as anyone for not responding as soon as I should. Stuart for example has been in need of work in the past and on some occassions was fitted in after hours. On other occassions however I'm sure he got frustrated due to not getting me on the phone when he called. As in most forms of business, the work does not come at a steady rate. If your business is expanding (like Dastek) then it is even more difficult to ensure you have the appropriate resources in place at all times regarding customer service. Employing someone else to man the phone during lunchtime for example just isn't practical from a cost perspective. Andy ps I apologize to anyone who's calls/emails have gone unanswered recently ! pps Does that get me off the hook
