When I changed mine I waited until my tank was nearly empty, just so I didn't need to pull the whole assembly through all the fuel whilst removing it. Also, after I disconnected the electrical connector for the pump I turned the ignition over just to get any fuel out of fuel hose (probably not required though), then I removed the fuel hoses in and out of the tank. One you have a look it's pretty obvious what to do.

If you stick the keyfob up against the windscreen just about inline with the drivers window wiper sometimes you can activate/deactivate alarm. That's what I've found when I've had that problem with my P1.

Wouldn't want to turn up and be the only person there. I get up early in the morning.[]

I think your probably correct. I tried it on this page and the P1 wins, but the 0-60 times for both cars are wrong. It should be less than 5 secs for a P1.http://www.jsread.com/tvr/quartermile.htm

I don't know if this is any use to you but P1's are about an inch lower than standard my99-00 imprezas. The offset for their wheels are et52 for 17" or et53 for 18"

P1's can peak at 1.5 ok. Well they better as that's what AndyF set mine to.[] But if you decat your P1 you definately need a remap as if you don't it could all end in tears.

I think it gives you a better spark, better idle, and helps all your electrical doo-dahs work better. I'm just guessing.

Maybe they're letting the tanks run dry so they can fill them with the 100 ron petrol they sell on the continent instead of the crappy 98 ron optimax. I still don't understand why the rest of Europe get V-Power and we get Optimax.

As I don't know of any garages friendly enough to MOT my car with my Decat downpipe it looks like I'll need to remove it and put the standard one back on. So while it's off would it be worthwhile wrapping it? If so whats the best wrap to use, and where do I get it?[] Cheers.

I decatted my P1 last year (P1's only have one cat and it's in the downpipe) My MOT is due next month so obviously it won't pass emissions. I got the new downpipe fitted up at AWD as they supplied it. I don't want to go all the way up to Perth to put my old downpipe back on, so is there anywhere local that could do it for me. I'm in Glasgow/Lanarkshire area. Alternatively does anyone know a nice friendly MOT place.[]

Has anyone ever sold their car to a Subaru dealer? I want to sell my car but can't be arsed with all the advertising and timewasters. Just wondering if this is an option, has anyone done it? It's a Y plate P1 with 40,000 miles on it.

There is a P1 in the Autotrader for sale with dodgy rear lights. Think it is in the Lanarkshire area, might be the same one. Thats what happens when nice cars like the P1 become affordable to the lower classes, they start sticking crappy lights on them.[]

I've got a bit of rust bubbling up on my sill, a scuff on my splitter and quite a few stonechips. Can anyone recommend somewhere to get them sorted? I'm in the Lanarkshire area. Cheers, Graham.

I got a wave on Monday from a female scooby driver. Was all excited[] She was driving what looked like a yellow sti version 5.

You might need to take your nearest dealer to get it reset. Failing that think about getting a new alarm as the sigmas are crap. I have trouble arming the one on my P1 if I park near certain mobile phone masts. It's a pain in the arse.

If they are still doing the free fitting then I fancy a bit of that myself. Got a contact number?

Does anyone agree with me that Scottish football is pish? I was a season ticket holder at Ibrox since 1986, when I was 10, up until about 3 years ago. I had to chuck it it was that bad. Seeing the same crappy teams every week, even during 9 in a row it was boring. Coincidently I bought my scoob just before I decided to stop going to the fitba.
