Seen this on ebay. Quite like the look of it. Does it belong to, or has it belonged to anyone here? It says it has an oil leak due to a camcover gasket. Is that an easy fix? Link===>ebay Cheers.

The P1 uses a MY '99 '00 MAF. V5, V6 if I understand correctly.

What made you think it was gonnae be fast? It only has about 212 bhp ffs. Plus power sapping awd.

You should get about 260-270 with an ecutek remap with the mods you have suggested. I think

I don't know much about the new-age imprezas, so couldn't tell you what to look out for when buying one. But the people on here are usually very helpful so I'm sure someone will fill you in on what to check out to see if it's ok.

I don't know how relative this is but, when I had my P1 it came with 17" wheels, I ran it with them for a while. When I put the upgraded P1 18" wheels on with 225/35/18 tyres the handling was transformed. Seemed to have more grip. This could have been down to the tyres or down to the fact that P1's were setup to run with 18's as standard, but Subaru weren't allowed to fit the 18's as standard because of European type approval. Something to do with not being able to fit snowchains with the 18's. Anyway I digress. Basically get 18's

I think the most obvious mods are decat and remap, maybe an uprated fuel pump too. Can't remember how much power you can make on the standard turbo though (VF28)

So you don't get a version 2 V-limited? I always thought the STI-RA with the McRae/Ringer seats, and only 555 made was a V- Limited. I think you need a degree in Imprezology to figure out all these different versions.

Seen a few sti type-ra's on here recently and thinking of getting one myself. I think a version 2 is the one for me. Just wondering if anyone knows about the WRX typeRA STi 2 V-limited and how they differ from just a WRX typeRA STi 2. All I really know is the V-ltd is blue So any info appreciated. Also where's the best place to get a V-ltd? Is importing the preferred option? Cheers.

I bought a Prodrive one a few years ago, never had it on. It's a large so it's a bit big for me now. (lost a few pounds since then) Think I'll stick it on ebay see how much I can get. Any idea how much I should be looking for?

I was reading teletext at about 5pm today and noticed there was a crash in Lanark. Colin was the first person that came to mind. Forgot all about it until I just put on news 24 there. Very sad if true, really gutted.

Scotlands Dario Franchitti just won the Indy Racing League championship. His rival for the championship, Scott Dixon, was leading Dario on the final lap, but ran out of fuel with the flag in sight. A bit of luck in the end, but well deserved none the less.
