They might be open but they tend to run R.R sessions most of this time of year for clubs on a Saturday and there is usually no one in the office, from what I remember. Maybe best to try them on Monday if it is not too urgent. Brian []

I did not see the picture that was removed but I assume it was removed for good reason - this forum can be viewed by all people young and old, and as a club the SIDC must be aware of this. It may be veiwed entirely by adults but we do not know this - this may seem like a partial nanny state it may be, but that is society today. The mixes thread - from what I can gather, as I was not in last night, there are definite copyright issues, and whether it is for profit, for fun, whatever, we cannot provide access to recorded music without it being licenced from copyright holders - should any one of the many copyright holders in such a mix decide to take legal action (and I use the mixes only as an example - it could be any music etc) that would be the end of the SIDC as a club, not just a forum. Please remember the forums are only one part of the SIDC. People will always have a go at any decision made, but from what I gather, Stephen did not make this decision alone. The comment about the do gooders calling the shots is a bit unfair - we are here to try to keep the forums running safely without exposing the club to legal threat. You are correct to comment though on decsions you don't agree with. Please post any suggestions to phil@sidc.co.uk or post them in the SUGGESTIONS club area of the forums. Brian []
