  1. Good luck GRUNT... Hope it is as good for you as "old red". Speaking of red, where has "Big Red" disappeared to again these days??? Brian
  2. Jings!!!!!!!!! It's like the for sale and wanted section in here today... Nice car though and well looked after. A good buy - the wheels are pretty fresh too (I am "looking after" the old ones in my garage ). Good luck with the sale Stephen. Brian
  3. Well done Ricey - in the game a long time, had the car longer than most - and still manage to be original - congratulations! Wheels look cool in black - SO considered getting mine in black for ages! Brian
  4. STI Brembo brakes will not fit under the WRX wheels if I am not mistaken. If I am, anyone selling a set of front (or both sets) Brembos???? Brian
  5. Click here WRX rival perhaps? Brian
  6. Meant to add - expect to pay between £120 - £140 for the pads for the front, cheaper for the rear, and if you have not already done so - fit Goodridge Stainless Braided Brake lines and Motul 5.1 fluid- he'll supply them too for pennies.
  7. I doubt anywhere would beat Alyn @ A S Performance for this stuff. He done a great deal - quick delivery and great customer service. They are a rally specialist. Give him a phone - he'll discount for SIDC members too. His advice was spot on! Brian A S Performance
  8. Origin B2 - great bit of kit, does lots and always finds the camera's I pass - never missed one and the warning is exceptional - like all others, the laser won't save you unless lucky. I may be selling mine for reasonable offers... (7 months subscription left) Brian
  9. Pagid RS 4.2.1 or (slightly cheaper) Ferrodo DS2500 as sworn in by many many peop,e on here. Cheaper again are Mintex but they don't seem to last as long and are a bit dustier, apparently. Brian
  10. There are SIDC A5 flyers too - all the details are one them. R.O.'s should have some, Brian

  12. Mmmm I'm heading for less than 200 miles at the moment from £40 - did get 320 miles last time though, just been ,errrr, "pushing" a bit this week on the country lanes Brian
  13. Looks great!!! Brian
  14. Thanks JC. I had not seen this - very good and my car made an appearance at the Rest and be Thankful! Brian
  15. That second clip is horrific. Horrible.
  16. Oh! How I dream of a company car...
  17. Jamie, I have a set of standard WRX springs you can have - not sure if they are any use! Brian
  18. Twat!
  19. Hi Mark, There only is one - Halleys - quite a few people use them now. I have used A F Nobles in Penicuik for the East and others in the West use S&S in Ayr. Also there is Ian Grieve Subaru in Falkirk (Service dept in Stirling). If looking at an independant then you could consider Greersport in Kilbirnie. Brian
  20. My entry is in - make the decision now ... "I've won!!" Yippee!! Well, maybe I'll just have to buy one. Brian
  21. Thanks for that Andy/Russell. My main aim is sort the exhaust and remap at that, still able to pass an MOT and improved response from the engine. I am not interested in big power - just more flexibility. Brian
  22. Just in myself. Glynhill Hotel, Renfrew - wedding. New year is booked for the agent BUT they have not confirmed a venue. Need to phone them through the week and check - if not, I'll let you know - Soul Train will not be working that night anyway. Brian
  23. Hi Niall, It is certainly a small world. I do know Taj (Vygotsky I assume). I am a big fan of Fish - lucky bloke! Don't know Seattle - I'll say to Allan too that you say hello. I am sure there will be a few stories to tell. At the Glinhill Hotel tonight for a wedding (with the 2 piece) and I am sure Soul Train are at Dalhousie Castle but it may be Cameron House tonight. RE the deps - what kind of stuff do you play - all the usual? Sure I'd give it a go - ask Allan or ny of the others who may know me - it should be no problem. Where do you know Allan from? Brian
  24. << All the bugeye and Blobeye WRX's have 3 cats - Uppipe, Downpipe, Cat pipe. The Sti's from the same years have only got 2 - Downpipe and Cat pipe. This is why the WRX's have an EGT sensor in the uppipe, to monitor egt's in case they get too high and cause the Cat to disintegrate and fly into the compressor wheel causing no end of harm to the turbo. Russell ps - just noticed I pushed the 4 instead of the 5 should have read VF35. >> Cheers for that Russell! The exhaust guys thought there were only two - downpipe and the stand alone cat. Looks like I'll need to remoce the up-pipe cat too. Still don't want the headers. I note Andy F has ported the standard ones so maybe get that done. What is actually done when the headers are ported - is that literally polishing out any imperfections inside??? Brian
