  1. Yeah right Brian
  2. Well done Wilky for posting this thread - these are the threads we all like - people like yourself, and Coulty, and many others, who put serious effort into their cars and make us folk with humble cars look on in awe are what anmy club needs. AND THAT IS GREAT - we are enthusiasts and although many of us are happy with a slightly (or not at all) modified car, we love to see the cars which people really work hard on. It is great to see the variety of cars and the differences in the way people go about getting the same thing - a fast, quality handling car. Competition is not important, but pushing the boundaries of what has been done is. Without the cars listed on this thread, we would all suffer from "bland-itis". Looking at the number of posts of "WOW" that says it all. Here's my engine bay: Mods you can see are - some boost hose for the gauge, an STI panel filter and a "Scoobymods" aluminium billet oil filler cap (courtesy of oor Teknopete - my first mod). Oh, and a Wax Wizard cleaning treament. No PPP, no remap, no decat, not even a strut brace in the engine. Just as Subaru intended it See - I don't feel threatened by a list of obviously MEGA cars and specs, I will do some work to mine shortly, but there is no rush. Well done to everyone who has listed their car spec on this thread - RESPECT! Brian And lest we forget, a picture of Swiggi's car (a while ago):
  3. Black - has to be - and buy decent ones - like Scott Lowe. Not the best pictures but you get the idea. Brian.
  4. Wisnae me this time
  5. Pete, Not getting at you at all matey - it was me who passed that piece of information to you - my fault - I was saying that often we are all told things which prove to be scare mongering or false - that piece of info has proved to me that I was wrong in believing. Certainly some genometry set-ups would cause uneven wear with the benefit of certain handling characteristics. Nothing about ou Pete - sorry if you thought it was. RIGHT - THAT'S IT - I AM LEAVING AND NOT COMING BACK FOR .............. OK, I'm back Brian.
  6. That's look like a severe tracking/camber problem. A good geometry set up needed there I reckon. As to the Prodrive setting - run it on my car for two years with the Prodrive springs and never noticed any severe camber wear at all - just the usual scrubbing on the edges. Just goes to show how much mis-information is peddled on the forums - info I believed but experience has shown otherwise. Progrip in Bonnybridge, Swifts/Extreme in Whitburn or a place in Edinburgh (Can't remember exact name) will do you a good job. Tyres look worn down to the tread wear indicators anyway. How many miles was this after? Brian
  7. Yes, good lads they are. They done my geometry last month... Always use them for tyres, oil changes etc. Brian
  8. Not an unfamiliar with the dealer - not necessary to mention the name - many of us have had similar. Find "Kartman" on here and send him a PM on here - he'll give you a VERY good run down. Brian
  9. They were outside ASDA Livingston last night - three of them - for about half an hour - as I was outside ASDA freezing due to the sodding alarm going off Brian
  10. Andy - I am surprised you finished that lunch - being just awake after your "lecture"!
  11. Well Done Spooks and Rose! Stress over for a bit.... I will post up my pictures later and it is nice to see a good deed being done. Brian
  12. My stickers are on - and oh God - they are "uniquely" fitted!!!
  13. She can't wait to see you in that beard I bet
  14. Used Admiral & Elephant group for years - always the cheapest for me with free legal protection, windscreen cover and no charge for Business Class 1 on the policy. Oh, and they'll take all my mods, no issues and little charge. Brian
  15. Spring Kerse done mine, and removed the front drops too. Brian
  16. I removed my front drops - light smoke Pentagon after they changed the law last year Liked them but like Oobster they were over the limit. Not worth it. Now have clear Supagaurd film, which stops the UV/sunlight but not the light getting through. Brian
  17. C&C Custom Stainless in Hillington They'll do the business for you - make it for your car, so it will be spot on. Brian
  18. Hey Vicki, I ordered a black one as I thought it may be better match to most bits of the car but not putting it on the bodywork. Not sure what to do with it really but I am sure I will get some inspiration. Maybe put it in my engine bay - at the heart of the car... Brian.
  19. Superb and Merry Christmas - "Haw, whit's the scrip" Brian
  20. Happy Birthday Sharon, Judging by the times you are posting at - I hope that is lunchtime or the facilities twat may need to hear about this!!!!!!!! Brian
  21. I got mine free after a bit of pushing and prodding, but I would not pay £60 for them. For those who know, they are the same quality, just about, as the ones you get from Arnold Clark with their name on them, or out of the More store for £4.99 a set. However, I have managed to keep mine going 28,000 miles so far. Drivers mat is helped because a while ago I lifted i and I keep placing relatively recent underfelt underneath to help the car carpets... Brian
  22. Yes - I got mine today. My car is silver and almost contemplated the bootlid Not sure where though. Brian
  23. Hi Al, Replied to other thread.
