ECU retarding the ingition..........................due to the fact that there is detonation in the engine.................................becuse the TMIC is heatsoaked....................................due to sitting idling for ages......................still detting...........goes into Limp Mode (BCS closes fully, all boost pressure goes to actuator which opens @ 0.5 bar)? BLOODY HELL - I charge about 190 for it and that uses FULLY SYNTHETIC OIL! Russell ps - you do get a service stamp as well, shame I am no use of the car is in warranty as using a non-Subaru dealer voids it[]

Fully synthetic 10/40 would be best considering the mileage. Running a 15/50 is a little too thick when cold and might assist your oil pump to end its life (84K is getting old)! Millers do some good stuff but the Silkolene Pro S is GREAT...........at the right price. Blueprint filters ARE THE SAME AS SUBARU FILTERS. Blueprint just buy 500,000 off the manufacturer of the filter at the right money and put them in a Blueprint box. At present they are using the old style ones (longer than the new ones) so that is why they look different to the newer style ones that Subaru sell. Subaru changed their prices on the Oil filters and so it is just as cheap to buy one of them now ( difference is pennies) and it at least looks (not performs) better as it has a SUBARU logo on it,................just in case you need to go into a Subaru garage (GOD FORBID!) What you use it for ( day-to-day, Track, B-road blasts, motorway) With this info we can inform you of the oil that best suits your needs. Russell
