  1. At my last job they had a fleet of Diesel VAGs - Golfs, Passats, A4, A6 even an A8. Whilst they weren't nearly as exciting as the Subaru they were always more then pleasent. Oodles of torque, decent grip and easy to drive. Perfect for hooning round the A70 on company time.
  2. Always good to hear the perspective of the tobogans. A wise man once said - "easy right over crest, maybe" - and it's a lesson we should all take to heart. So let us continue to push the boundaries, if that is what floats your boat, of what is possible on classics, on new ages, on 2.0s, on 2.1s, on 2.33s on 2.5s and on the little justy engine. Let us not do it in a competition to see who is the better man or the faster man, because Ben Johnson will always win that, but let us do it because we can and because it makes us happy. And broke.
  3. Yes. There's a link on the second that points to the first, and they both have the same contact details in the contact sections.
  4. Craig, you are right. It's been very good humored 99% of the time, and I hope it remains that way. At the end of the day an "arms race" only leads to war. If everyone's happy with their cars then we're all laughing.
  5. Got my backbox from MSW, and they fitted it too. Nice guys [y]
  6. http://www.asperformance.com/ always get a good rating round these parts.
  7. You're not even Joe Pasquali, Brian. If you like Bill Hicks try and find some Doug Stanhope - he's very funny.
  8. Nightmare Kev. Hope you get it fixed soon.
  9. The car will be 2 in December, and I joined the SIDC in the January.
  10. Greers for your bits and bobs for servicing probably. I'm sure they can help you out with an MOT tester.
  11. Nice. Welcome to the family Iain. Get a membership from the shop so you can get your stickers and magazines and all the benefits that go with being a full member of the SIDC. Did you go for blue and gold then?
  12. Nice. Very nice. Looks absolutely immaculte Fee. Can't wait to see it on track.
  13. Out of the box Imprezas suffer from an easily curable problem - Geometery by Stevie Wonder. Best £40-50 you can spend on the cars IMHO. Obviously doesn't entirely cure the understeer on its own, but it is front heavy car obviously.
  14. Tracks are wonderful places yes? [] WR1 is just an STI with prodrive fettling - springs, PPP - but a better PPP than normal, special paint, wheels, WRX like fog lights and a tax disc holder.
  15. 2.5 then? Your buddy club rims are on my list of potential replacements for my own.
  16. Are those Buddy Club rims?
  17. STi make braces for the new age don't they? You wouldn't think they'd be making bits that had detrimental effects. Personally I noticed a big improvement with the front one. Just need to get my rear one installed now.
  18. Copy the list and put yours in then!
  19. Copy the last set of times, paste them into a reply and insert your own time in the appropriate place.
  20. Looks just like mine now. Except ..... clean []
  21. Newbies add your name on at the end. Any cars that have gone please remove them. Also - the MYxx is the model year, not the registration year. My car is a 54, but it's a MY05 model (red calipers etc.).
  22. Well I'll be damnd.
  23. It looks fake to me to be honest.
  24. Not really sure what the most popular individual model is. MY03 and MY04 cars are the same, MY05 and MY06 are different, it would take a bit more work to get that.
  25. http://forums.sidc.co.uk/forums/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=761628 - instructions for picture posting.
