  1. I'm sure there's plenty of mechanical gods on here that would love to get their hands dirty on a project like that if you ever need help. If you do go for it keep a good blog of your progress and get some google ads down the side. Might make a bit of cash for it, you never know.
  2. I was going to post up the google images search results for bondage gloves, but trust me, you don't really want to go there with the safe search turned off. A pair of track gloves is what I was looking for. We're in for a really cold winter it seems.
  3. Ali, you sir are a gent. That's exactley what I was looking for. The rest of you:
  4. Seriously though. Bunch of bloody comedians.
  5. As you may have noticed it was bloody cold this morning. I've not got a good pair of gloves which work particularly well in the car, so does anyone have any recommendations of gloves they've maybe bought for trackdays that are decent for keeping the hands warm in the winter too? If I'm no careful my hand will freeze to the metal prodrive gear knob!
  6. Someone, and I forget who, was selling Subaru Lanyards with cards with your name on them. I've got one. I feel like a right fanny wearing it though, but I will on Sunday. Not that I'm very easy to miss really.
  7. Aye, you can just nick through the town centre, which I usually do coming home from work anyway, but obviously that's the diversion everyone's going to be following.
  8. 535d sport Beemer. The torque on them is ridiculous. Went for a wee 10mph rolling start to whatever was safe against a noble. He had the rears totally lit up and I was near enough in his back seat, but once he got it hooked up it really shifted. Plenty of big power saloons can try and keep up admirably at top end motorway speed too, but then I'm only running a standard WRX.
  9. For those of us heading southbound towards Glasgow from Perth after the run on Sunday then it is worth knowing that the A80 will be shut from Old Inns (the shell station) to past the roundabout. It will indeed be shut from 8pm tomorrow night until 6am on Monday. Might well be worth coming back a different way possibly, although Sunday traffic should be light.
  10. My 128K went to the childrens home I think. It only worked if you lodged a bit of lego where the DC power source went in. That was after I dropped it one day. There's great money in old crap on ebay. People will literally buy anything.
  11. Some of that is a bit before my time, but some of it brings back lovely memories. I'm still young enough to be able to own some of these things and nearly get away with it.
  12. The Advan ones are stunning, and probably lighter than a milkway. A lot of dosh though , considering that is priced without tyres.
  13. Thought they were Work wheels. Have a look at them here. That guy on ebay usually has Impreza sized ones too, but not today. Was considering a set for myself.
  14. Daaaaaaaamn. Loving that rear wing too. The new front end looks good in some good colours.
  15. I wasn't going to post, but I will. I have nothing constructive to add to the conversation. Not that it matters as the government/police are going to put them up anyway. All I will say is that it really fecks me off.
  16. White blobeye Spec C. Has to be. I'd arm it with some Volk LE37T Gunmetal wheels. MMMM noice.
  17. There's surely a massive gap in the "automotive leisure" industry in Scotland. Particularly in the west where there really isn't much in the way that your average joe can take part in. Be it track days or 1/4 miles. 1/4 mile racing appears to be here to stay, whether you enjoy it or not. I'm more of a corners man myself, but I still like to watch, and who knows maybe I'd like to try it. Scotland needs more motorsport facilities FULL STOP. And I think we should be grateful that people are trying. Perhaps Thornton isn't the best place for whats proposed, but at least someone is trying.
  18. Camera looking down on the eastbound traffic from a bridge just where the M876 joins the M9, before the Kincardine bridge exit. Not sure if its speed or tax, but I certainly buzzed it at an extra legal amount, although not too extra legal I hope. Stay safe kids.
  19. Cannae afford it right now. I've got a service coming up. Road Tax. Christmas. You can tempt me with the brakes Scott, and as I said if things go really well tomorrow you never know. But the rest is just out of the question until after the winter.
  20. Get a nice Cusco brace Del. I got one from Hypertech and it's functional and oh so pretty. You're all very bad men making me spend this sort of money on what is a perfectly functional car. Next years plans do include wheels, but only after I get the full decat + remap.
  21. Rain-X is the daddy! Except it does make you drive faster just to clear your windows.
  22. You've had an exciting day Del. You'll sleep like a baby.
  23. The STI wheels are 7.5" deep. WRX ones are only 7". I guess that means the spokes wont come out from the centre as far on the standard WRX wheels to house the larger caliper size. If memory serves me correctly it is that distance the caliper protrudes from the disc itself and not the size of the caliper length wise that limits their use on WRX wheels. Cheers for the offer anyway Scott. If I had the cash I'd have plumped for some nice wheels as well, but I cannae afford that at the moment.
  24. Been offered a set but don't think they'll fit underneath my wheels if memory serves me correctly. Anyone care to enlighten me?
  25. Nice plate Ed. Will look a treat on the car as the genuine WRC ones usually carry similar style ones I think. Maybe SRT, but either way.
