  1. Love that lap with Murphy. Bathurst ranks second only to the ring as my favourite track in the world. You can watch some track based motorsports on the telly and know they're fast, but they don't look fast. Then you watch a V8 hustling it's way round the top of the mountain, 6 inches from concrete walls, 2 wheels off the ground, flames popping out when they liftoff. Just fantastic. And of course a bit of Walter to wash it all down with. Excellent.
  2. I'm thinking I should have a standard reply for all these new members, but to hell with it - Welcome mate. Enjoy your stay.
  3. You can go months without spotting one of these in the wild. Indeed other than at SIDC events I've only ever seen 2 on the roads. So it came as a surprise when one was spotted coming off Springburn Road about 1/2 a mile from Costco, and then another one was spotted in the carpark at Costco. I was in stealth mode in my mum's civic.
  4. 45 minutes in the cold without appropriate anything. Nothing winston related I'm afraid.
  5. I've not been in Callander for years, yet recognised the carpark from an obscure angle. This is why my brain doesn't work right. I remember loads of nonsense, but not what someone asked me to do 5 minutes ago.
  6. Winston is a figment of Gumball's imagination, in pictorial form anyway. Some japing funster has registered the name now and is posting as winston. Is anyone else as impressed at how well Gumball draws in paint? Don't think I can make it tonight. I've been trying to shift a cough and a cold for nearly a month now and something I done on Monday has aggrovated it and I'm back to square one again.
  7. Colin, my dad got popped for 40 in a 30 quite recently and he got £60 and 3 points, so 85 in a 70 should be about the same I'd imagine. It's a real fecker that Camera. I thought you were talking about another one when you'd said M9 at first, but now I know the one you mean at the top of the hill. If they aim for the traffic coming the other way the flyover is cambered at such an angle that you can only see maybe the top half of the van. A real money spinner.
  8. I certainly can't claim to be an expert, but have you checked to see if the DV is leaking boost? Is your boost pressure peaking at the same point (if you have a gauge that you can look at)?
  9. It looks like the carpark in Callander. Nice car Paul.
  10. He did change his name. Must have mailed Willie or Phil or someone that knows what they're doing.
  11. Very nice indeed Vicki.
  12. How many days till the Monte Grant?
  13. Can we expect any Impreza that Imy gets will be given the full Squirrel treatment?
  14. terminator is a sound guy. I picked up a sub from him on Sunday night and it's of the finest quality. Thanks again mate. Great headunit this one.
  15. You kept that one quiet mate. Looks good. I see you've gone for the rather unusual Blue and Gold combination.
  16. You keep that money and actually buy one Sharon.
  17. oobster and some of the other fellows use Steve Walkers in Bathgate. I used a place on Alexandra Parade called Auto Cosmique to touch up a scratch on my door. Give them a try. Number is 0141 5549999
  18. I was looking into this the other day, but my propsed route of the ECUTEK map allows a high boost and low boost map, so I couldn't really see any purpose to it. Other than having a nice shiny bit of electronics in the car. I do like the Apexi gear.
  19. Not sure if classics are much different from a new age Ally, but I've got alloy drop links all round and combined with prodrive geometery really tidied the handling up nicely. I've since added the Tein springs and they've improved it that wee bit more. Also on my list is the Anit-Lift Kit, and maybe the Anti-Roll bars.
  20. RA only picks up laser if you have the laser alert, and only pikcs up locations it has stored in its DB AFAIK camera vans work the same as regular cams and thus you wouldn't have got the laser alert beep, and your database didn't know about it or it would have warned you before you got to it.
  21. Curses. Bought springs in december. Oh well, they're not exactley top of the Tein price range. Good items though.
  22. pmac, how you found the uptime on the D-Links. Had a problem with one that was up and down like a hooer's knickers. I swear by my Westell ADSL router. 300+ day uptime.
  23. Grant, you'll need something like this. I recommended the 3com ones to some people at work as I'm currently using one of their access points at home with great success, and I never got any complaints. I personally hook up 2 laptops, a Nintendo DS, a PSP and my new MDA Vario Phone to my Wireless. My xbox, xbox 360, PS2 and Cube are all cabled up, as is most of my other PCs though. Other than that you'd just need a bit of cable to connect to your mum's PC to the router and you're quids in. I don't know if the other guys have any recomendations for cable routers or have any cheap ones going spare. Most stuff I've dabled in has been ADSL based.
  24. More than 2 weeks and you've got off.
  25. Grant. Pish easy mate. 20 minute job. I'm off all week and could help you out. Laptop should have wireless built in so that's no problem. Tower - will it be near source of the broadband? If not then would need a wireless card. Which is cheap. Your 360 will need a wireless attachment thingie too if it's not at the source. They're not cheap though. What Broadband do you have. ADSL or Cable? An all in one ADSL Modem and Wireless router is about £40, if you have cable it's slightly different, but about the same, maybe less.
