  1. Always liked these: Available here - http://www.japanparts.com/db/partslist.php...=2&small=17 - I'd take them in all black I must admit.
  2. I got mine from www.motorpoint.co.uk and can't complain.
  3. Not quite 30K, but yes, they are depreciating quite a bit just now. When I was looking in May 2004 for a car they were holding their value a lot more than they appear to now. At least in dealers. Have you looked at an import Gareth? I got a Euro Import WRX brand new for £16K. STIs can be had for £21K I think. I should also add that although they depreciate financially they'll always be appreciated round these parts. BADOOM TSCH.
  4. Helmets can be rented at the track for a small fee. £5 I think. Tyres - I up the pressures on them to help stop the shoulders getting cooked. You'll want to do that especially if it's not a trackday set you'll be using and it's the tyres you intend to keep using for a while. Brakes - how new are your current pads/discs and what kind are they? You're obviously going to be giving the pads a right good toasting so best to have a good bit left on them. Oil - Make sure you're not running on empty and that it's in good condition/recently changed. Insurance - you can get trackday insurance, it's not cheap though. I've never used it. Your standard policy is more than likely invalid on track.
  5. Ducking Aunt as my T9 used to say.
  6. Porsches. Usually rear drivers in the rain, but a few dry anda few 4wd scalps too. A VX220. Plenty more at the lower end of the spectrum. But then I've been schooled by a 535d, so it's swings and roundabouts.
  7. Looks good Ed. Is that taken on the wee road from Airth to the Kincardine bridge per chance? Some of us with more drop than sense have only 2mm clearance on the front mudflaps on a level tarmac road!
  8. Forester minus the sti badging and the bling wheels. Fake farm dog secured in the boot Elmer Fudd dear stalker hat too. Maybe a cheekily hidden FMIC and de-scoop it for proper stealth mode. Shhhhh, I'm hunting Boxsters.
  9. Gear A to 81555 I might have!
  10. If you see one in traffic and you're going to pass it at speed it is customary to drop a gear and floor it so they can hear the burble too.
  11. You could be leaking boost davie. You'll want to get that sorted.
  12. Imy, don't listen to Grant. I have a 2:1 Honors degree attained with literally the bare minimum of effort. An afternoon study for each exam and 4 days on a project. I only missed a first by 2% as well! If I can do it anyone can.
  13. Volve seemed to think so when they ran Wagons in the BTCC many years ago.
  14. Welcome. Enjoy the funhouse.
  15. That roll looks quite nasty. Everyone alright after it? I must take a trip to the hot hatch days to see what actually goes on.
  16. I find your theories intriguing and I'd like to subscribe to your newsletter. I'm just thinking, I ditched my laser dongle after I got my windscreen changed. Hence the lack of a beep.
  17. Not sure about the ARBs, but I up the tyre pressures by 3 or 4 PSI usually. The first time I went on I didn't and I utterly molested the shoulder of the front passenger side. Last 2 visits have been fine though, and that was using the same RE050 type of tyre.
  18. Craig, was it guys standing with a gun or a van with a camera?
  19. Just got half a tanks worth in Bellshill at my usual watering hole, and the one on the Strathaven road in Hamilton appeared to be selling it too when I drove past. In celebration I burnt a chunk of it off by going from EK to Strathaven and then to Hamilton. HURRAH FOR FOSSIL FUELS.
  20. The Talivan don't use Lasers too. When I got done last month by a van on an overpass on the M74 I got no beep from the RA. I'd not updated the Road Angel and forgot to set the warning distance to something reasonable for the speed I was doing on my TomTom. TomTom knew about it, but I just didn't get warned in time to slow down.
  21. What a right ******* Fee. Glad they didnt get away with it. Do you have alarm + tracker and what not?
  22. Looks like I wont be there this time. Might make it to spectate at best, but probably not as someone's coming to visit that weekend.
  23. Good luck, god speed, and we'll miss you Dave.
  24. I did make a wee suggestion about this last year which went down luke warmly well. If we can get plenty of footage from the various events then we can produce something quite tidy. I know we've got plenty of still cameras at events and also a lot of video stuff too, especially on the track days. I can't video edit for toffee, but I'll give it a bash!
  25. WR1 was 2004 not 2005 I'm sure. I wasn't a fan when I'd seen pictures initially but up close and person it really is something special. The colour is really unusual but very cool, and they're great cars too obviously.
