  1. I notice Foot and Mouth have pics from the drifting. Any of the stand/the vagrants found on the stand?
  2. I had the droplinks done well before my Teins. Them and the geometery setup. When I drove the car it was like complete night and day. The wishy washy feeling at near the limit cornering had completely gone and the car felt much more solid and it was doing what you were telling it to do. I honestly without a shadow of a doubt would take any new scooby straight from the dealer to get them fitted and have decent geometery dialled in. Give hypertech a phone and see how much they'd be. Not sure if they keep a stock, but they should be able to get them pretty easy as whiteline's UK distributor is in Fife.
  3. DROPLINKS! I can't suggest them enough. Not expensive too when you're getting the other stuff sorted.
  4. That's sma01, who hasn't posted in quite a while. It's a good car indeed.
  5. I'm itching to attend my second diners club meet. I've got a fair bit saved up though like G.
  6. It's all about the cheddar JC. If I'm not making it then someone else is.
  7. http://www.motortopia.com/garage/cars/st3ph3n You can all sign up and add your cars etc. I was building a site like this but someone beat me to it. There's always my next scheme for world domination.
  8. I do enjoy the volks. As does spooks. Seen the inovite replicas on ebay quite a bit.
  9. My dad organised the Aberdeen teams trip out to Gothenburg (as well as HUNNERS of supporters). We've got an old VHS tape in the house somewhere of him holding the cup and getting interviewed on the news.
  10. Inovite replicas of Volk TE-37s if I'm not mistaken.
  11. Where is DCI Lee these days anyway? Is he renovating the restaurant himself?
  12. Did you go for droplinks too in the end Craig? Hypertech used to come and collect my car when I worked in my old job and wanted work done. With the new one I dropped it off and they gave me a run to the station so I could get to my work, and picked me up on my way home. They're a sound lot and where possible they get my business. Only reason it got serviced at main dealers last time was cause I needed new rear shocks under warranty as well and thought a service would grease the wheels of democracy given that it's a euro import on Tein springs. AND IT DID!
  13. I fancy getting some of that Blackfire stuff. Looks the business. Let us know how you get on oobster.
  14. Can the scoop suck in enough air to adequately cool a bigger TMIC?
  15. Stoooopid question time. Engage bigdavie mode. I'm joking mate, learning is what makes life fun [] So why would you want to wrap a turbo? Now I understand why you wrap headers and exhuast componentary - keep the heat in as hot gas flows more freely. Now I also understand that better gasflow in the turbo would be good. BUT, if you wrapped a whole turbo then surely you'd also be heating up the intake side more than normal too? And as we know upping the intake temps is about as useful as replacing the pistons with ice lollies. So what have I missed?
  16. Was disappointed. Mr Tourettes is good, but the rest was "toss". There's a few "web" things that channel 4 have turned into tv shows and they just didn't work as well as they should - Knife and Wife, TVGoHome and now this spring to mind.
  17. I tell you what I "woke" up at my usual time having managed about 2 hours sleep last night as it was so fewkin warm. So I had a wee extra 30 minutes and caught the next train. The benefits of flexi-time. I didn't even see you, I must have been in a daze. And it is a bright polo-shirt, says the man with the pink one. It's the summer after all. Can't quite bring myself to wear shorts to work though.
  18. First newbie in a couple of weeks I think. Hello, welcome, get yourself to Alford on Sunday for some fun.
  19. I've got 10gb of MAME somewhere. 1942 is where it's at though.
  20. I do like the BBS rims. They have some new hollow ones that are very light. If the only thing you're thinking about when upgrading the wheels is the looks then 18"s are fine, but you don't want to wreck a good car by fitting a size of wheel that just doesn't work. If it was me then I'd want to fit lighter wheels first and foremost to reduce the rolling mass. For every 1kg you take off the weight of your wheels it's actually like taking 10kg off the car when they're moving, apparently. Obviously moving up to 18"s could increase the weight if you don't get some nice light ones. You're also reducing the sidewalls and as such you could end up with a firmer ride which will be at best a bit of an annoyance or at worst a complete nightmare and the car becomes too harsh and handles badly. That's just my opinion though. No point having a fast car that's wearing lead boots.
  21. Fee, I stand to be corrected, but people seem to stick with the same size all round on the Impreza. Cars with bigger rear wheels are rear drivers that need the extra girth to get the power down. If you install different wheels front and back then surely with the profile differences you'll end up with different radius tyres. Would that not put undue strain on the diffs on a car with symetrical AWD? Personally I think your car would look fantastic with the 17" Buddy Clubs in Anthracite on this page - http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/produ...products_id=481 18"s on a classic is surely just too big?
  22. Mate of mine dropped a Gameboy Advance in a cup of tea a few years back. Wasn't working so he made up a story and sent it back to HK where it had been bought from and by the time it got there it had started working again. So aye, batteries out and let it dry for a good few days. Only thing furrit.
  23. I'm sure there was a story in some of the Jap mags saying that GSF were now doing Japanese parts. Give them a phone maybe?
  24. rab, consider yourself slapped. Now take the car to somewhere that knows what they're doing and get it checked out before you blow the shit out of it. It's all great fun until it detonates its head off.
