  1. If it helps everyone it's about as long as my boot is wide as that's where it's currently sitting. Certain it's just the unresonated centre though. So if anyone has the cat removal pipe that would remove the 3rd cat on a WRX or the 2nd on an STI - the one after the downpipe - going quite cheap then I could be interested. Unless removing the 3rd cat and keeping the other 2 is likely to **** things up? (Boost spike etc.)
  2. Guys, the pipe I purchased last night. Was doing some research and I'm pretty sure that it doesn't delete the cat. I think it's just an unresonated centre. It looks just like the afterburner centre section here (same 3 kinks) - http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/produ...;products_id=76 That's not really going to do much with the centre cat still in place is it?
  3. If anyone fancies writing them and their's an appetite for them to be on the website then why not. The sidc homepage needs content to draw in new members and keep existing ones and that's hopefully what I can bring to the role of whatever it is I am. Web-content-dude or something.
  4. This sounds like a job for a superhero. One with magical teeth and who answers to the name of a small woodland animal.
  5. I'm no expert on the classics Brian. Still can't fully tell them apart to be perfectly honest. BUT! On your requirements, and having though of this myself recently, it would be an RA. Age not THAT important, obviously late-ish would be good, but I wouldn't kill myself over it and would rather take the one in the best condition or that was already reasonably modified. You know fine well that taking a late UK model would be a mistake. You'd track it or go for a bomb in the countryside with the rest of the nutters and be yearning after more power and a short ratio gearbox. Practicality is not an issue, get one as "stupid" as you can afford and live with.
  6. Scott if you had a spare 50K you could build this car and have plenty left over to spend on anything you wanted. It was posted on general and the cars are in the current Banzai. 06 Spec C, Porsche RS style paint scheme (doesn't work for me), average-ish wheels with a powder coat and R888 rubber, fairly standard modifications - miltek decat and piper induction plus the ecutek remap, full cage, AST coilovers + whiteline gear, AP brakes. £27K for the car from litchfields leaves £23K for mods. Good value? Me thinks not.
  7. It wasn't actually me that suggested the thong. It was the wideos that I was sitting with. Cheeky bams. How about some scottish scoobies driving gloves instead?
  8. Martin, the Meguiars hot wheels works a treat. Two Thumbs Up. My CG-Lock arrived too, but not tested yet.
  9. Aye! He lost the hair above his lip.
  10. Welcome to the club and the forums mate.
  11. Hope the dog's got straight teeth wilky. I'm looking forward to indicating to the right and letting the falcon fly past on the 19th.
  12. Welcome Barry. I'm just down the hill in Bothwell. Got some family from Airdrie though. Get out to the Glasgow meets, will be one again first saturday of next month. Central meet in falkirk later this month too and trackday on the 19th.
  13. Peter, the little WRX that could will be on track on the 19th. Car looks and sounds fantastic mate. Anti-lag activated yet?
  14. Craig, the man himself fitted mine for me this evening at the Lothians meet. Said he'd just picked it up this afternoon so I imagine yours was there too. Thanks again Gus. They look the business!
  15. Saw a guy in a BT Van eating a bowl of cereal once. Quite impressive. Whilst moving I should add.
  16. Always a pleasure, never a chore. Keep in touch Gumball. Don't let the door hit you on the way back in. []
  17. I'd go to Meercat, or buy Peter's off him. Although it doesn't have the CAT you're looking for.
  18. Welcome. I can often be found pottering along in West Lothian on the way to and from work.
  19. Welcome. A petrol station you say. Can you get us discounts? []
  20. I didn't get plugs for my 30K I'm sure. Other items you might want to think of - an oil catch can or having the crank breathers vented to atmosphere. Have a wee search on the forums and you'll find a really good explanation of why and how. RMCS uprated oil pump too perhaps? Pretty cheap and a good insurance policy. Decent set of gauges or OBDII data reader so you can watch that everything's not going out the windae? Laughing gas?
  21. Looking sweet Peter. Will it be getting an outing on the 19th at Knockhill? Didn't get my OSIDC invite until I got home from the golf course so couldn't make it, but will be joining you all again soon []
  22. Set of tyres?
  23. You are all utterly mad. The two fiats I have driven have been the most horrendously unsafe, piss poor built utterly horrible things I've ever driven. I wouldn't even be a passenger in one now.
  24. What software are you using?
