Will just have to wait and see guys... but no its not the overpriced black sti at autoecosse Craig. All will be revealed next week.
-
Na Na, I ain't no hairdresser.
-
Seriously, that's sick. What a scumbag.
-
Yep, that was me, one last blast in it before the buyer came in the afternoon. Was tempted mate seeing as your just down the road, but found something that really took my fancy on Saturday night and the deal was done by Sunday lunchtime. Pick it up next week. Will post some pics once its actually on my driveway.

Cheers lads. Felt shit seeing it get driven away, at least now it's in Newcastle I won't see it around Dundee, that would just be torture. Sold it for £100 off the classified add price that I had on eBay, so I really can't complain, proving that mint classics really do hold their value. Guy who took it has previously owned a hawk sti and a wr1 so it's off to a good home. So now the big question, if it's not a wagon, do I go blob or hawk saloon?
-
WRX mate, head say get a wagon as more space for pram and dog, head says saloon looks nicer. Also looking at lower tax bracket hawks too.
-
SOLD !!! Guy came up from Newcastle this afternoon, got just below my asking price so I cant complain. Just goes to show that there is still a market for minted classics as long as your in no hurry to sell. Must admit, mixed feelings about seeing it go, rather sad in a way but the new owner was showing me some pictures of his previous scoobies so at least I know its going to a good home. So now the hunt for a replacement starts, do I go down the wagon route or stick to a saloon ? Blobeye this time though. Chris.

Can someone please do me a favour and buy my Classic, I'm hankering after this wagon
-
Found it sitting at AutoEcosse the last day, looking for 11k for it. WTF.
-
As per title, been looking at it and was supposed to goto auction tonight, sadly I couldnt go so don't know if it sold. Only had 30k on the clock and was being supplied by a VW Trade Garage, so obviously traded in recently. Just wondered if anyone knew of it?? Chris.

Yeah I went looking for that post to see what kind of alloys it was and couldnt find it either.

Mrs has told me I don't need to sell if I don't want to which is nice as it means I don't have to give it away for peanuts but I think we really need something other than her Audi for over the winter time. Don't want to run the Classic over the winter but I've booked it in at RA in Perth to get it under sealed just in case. I was trying to wangle a swap with a fellow SIDC member but I was struggling to get the cash at my end and then it fell through at their end, which was a shame. I've also looked at a trade in for a UK300 which I'm just waiting to hear back about. Like the UK300's. Remembered that you bought the mica red one, it was nice motor, shame you had to sell it after all the mods you put into it, guess we live and learn. Its always crap when you put in a shed load of cash and cant get it back when it comes to selling, been down that path in the past with a few cars. Have given it until the end of the month, if it doesn't sell then I will just keep it and wait until the market picks up again. Chris.

Found this advert which is for something similar, rAutotrader Think I should email him and take him up on his challenge to find one in better condition, lol

Nothing serious, most folk are telling me it's over priced, but I believe the car is worth the price. Not got much room in leeway in regards to upgrading to a blob as mrs is spending all the spare cash on baby stuff at the moment. So maybe going to go down the swop route. Tax is up at the end of this month, I will most likely stick 6 months tax on it and maybe drop the price a wee bit more, but Im not going to give it away at some of the prices folk have mentioned, If I still don't get any bites it's getting retired, I will keep it and just sorn iit over the winter again.

I do want a newage, but always had a sweet spot for the UK300's. Its all price dependant at the moment, if I sell mine I won't be in the position to buy anything much higher than what I sell it for. p1 would be awesome, but that really would end up as a garage ornament.
-
Och you might be tempted yet, found a UK300 that interests me so a price drop of a couple hundred quid could be in order.. Talking of P1's, I like this one on pistonheads
-
Your's looks good mate, plus its in the price range.
-
Can't tempt you with a SIDC / Previous owner discount mate ?
-
Finally got round to advertising it on Pistonheads today, sad sad day. :(
-
Still looking pretty much the same, expect for a little bit of road rash on the front bumper that I'm going to be tidying up. HDR photo from last year on the way back from Alford.

Hey Craig, Mrs is due in November and thinking of upgrading to something newer that I can run all year round whilst I've got the chance. I've found a couple of Hawkeye WRX's that are taking my fancy but still not sure if its the right thing to do. Will be tidying up the front end of classic in the next few weeks before I advertise it, maybe I might change my mind by then, who knows, at the moment its try to decide. Chris

Well that's been a week since I put up the poll and it seems that opinions are split with an equal number of votes. Thanks to everyone that has given me an opinion and after some thought today I've decided that I'm going to try and sell it, but I'm not going to give it away, so if I don't get the asking price I'm looking for or don't get any interest then I will keep hold of it for another year. So I'm not a paid up member so I can't stick it up in the for sale section but if anyone is looking for a seriously clean low mileage classic with some sutble but nice mods, send me a pm and I will forward you some details. Chris

Bit gutsy on the old fuel though, esp as a daily driver. Like your way of thinking though
-
That's a great idea, now how do I sell that idea to the Mrs? I might try a compromise when it comes to getting shot of the Audi, go for something cheaper than what we originally looked at, that way any extra money saved between now and then and the saving on getting a cheaper family wagon will maybe allow me to get a blob or a lower banded tax hawk. I have my suspicions that next year I will be out in the Classic less due to the baby coming along any ways, plus I don't want the interior covered in baby . So there is a good chance that it won't even be near the 2.5k per year that I did since MOT time last year.
