  1. Well thats me currently without a scoob after nearly 3 months of trying to sell it, someone finally came for a look and snapped it up immediately. Wasn't that sad to see it go, my heart was never really into it even after chucking some money at it, I just couldn't find the love for it. So Im now on the hunt for another classic, originally fancied a Type R or P1 but also looking at 4 door saloons as well. If anyone knows of any nice examples going then let me know, as usual it needs to be a low mileage minter under 65k preferably. Does mean I might miss Alford though next weekend. Chris.
  2. Aye but nobody wants a WRX these days - Thanks for the shameless plug though.
  3. No worries, I guess if your quite local it would be worth going for a look, priced not to bad either.
  4. Dunno about the history, but being a 55 you will be classed in lower tax band, so £270 a year instead of the usual £450+, not many hawkeyes in the lower tax band so they tend to sell quick.
  5. Was looking around the web for a classic, and came across a car with a link to this site: back in the day Pictures are from 2000 onwards.
  6. Looking good, not a fan of decals usually but looks very nice with the 555 livery. Like the steering wheel, where did you pick that up from ? Chris.
  7. You can rent my Hawk - £6700 for the weekend - plus you get to keep it after the flings finished...
  8. Those brakes are just pure filth... Lovely looking Wagon.
  9. Managed to keep the hawk, and have been chucking money at it- got a few bits waiting to be fitted: BC Br coilovers Whiteline Front drop links 4.5" ninja II backbox Scorpion Decat pipe Scorpion centre section 290lph fuel pump Other bits planned are , rear drop links, front and rear arbs, anti lift kit, braided brake lines, zunsport grills, front splitter and a remap. Hopefully get the suspension bits done by the start of spring and remap by summertime.
  10. There are cars on their website for sale which were there 2 years ago when I started looking for my classic - I guess with customer service like that then wont sell much.
  11. I had planned a set of BC Coilovers, exhaust and remap but looks like my only mod will be a change to a diesel car, how boring.
  12. Missed it due to a heap of visitors round to see the wee one. Looks to have been a good day though.
  13. andd I can pick your brains on what mods to do as well.
  14. from the last cat back if I remember correctly. Going to try and get Chris's stands tomorrow since he is just at the end of the road, but if I dont get his I will give you a PM and borrow yours if thats ok mate ?
  15. Yeah maybe. I want something that makes it sound similar to the Classic, nothing too loud as I don't want to make the wee one deaf when he/she arrives. Powerflow is ok but for what the previous owner paid to get it made they would have been better off putting the money to something decent.
  16. cheers guys, fronts should be easy enough to do but the backs look a little tight without whipping off the wheels. Just fitted my 1st mod, Green Panel Filter - will hopefully get some time this weekend to do the flaps. Wont really need them for long, couple of hours at most. Cars not lowered, looking at some BC's for next year though. BTW - Need to thank you Chris... after you drove past me and the mrs last night, she commented that the hawkeye doesn't sound as good as the classic, I explained that it was cos it has a crappy powerflow system instead of an proper aftermarket one - then she said, "oh well, you can just buy a new one" Sweet !!
  17. Got me a set of mudflaps to fit, but by the looks of things the back wheels need to come off so I can get access to bend the bracket to get it secured properly. Not keen on having the car sitting on the jack when I do this, so wondered if any of the Dundee/Tayside lads had some I could borrow for a couple of hours ? Cheers Chris.
  18. lol, I remember getting a shot of their demo car back in 2004 when my SEAT went in for a services, drove it like I stole it.
  19. http://www.hpicheck.com/ is one that they use, and Ive used it a few times for buying cars and never had any problems, plus the fact that you can update it for free within 28 days of buying is a nice feature as it means you are eligible for their guarantee if it turns out they were wrong. On looking at a few websites, looks like I might have got sunnyhill completely mixed up with crown motors who are also up in that direction, now they really are overpriced. Some good bargains down south, I recently bought my hawkeye wrx from York for a fraction of what the dealers up here wanted for one, was scratched to hell but had sound service history and it didnt take long to get the paintwork back in shape. Take it your looking specifically for a STI? Chris.
  20. Oh here we go, Kev bangs the JDM 2.0 is better drum. Is anyone listening ?
  21. Thats not too bad for the mileage, however I still think they are overpriced in general.
  22. IMHO - Overpriced.
  23. Brian Downie is usually overpriced.
  24. Dirty?? That word doesnt exist in my vocabulary.
  25. For those that think I'm a clean freak, got an email from the new owner with a pic of the classic - been washed three times already since buying it last weekend. Nuts.
