  1. Happy days I should be there again this year.
  2. Hey Chris, Long time no see. Good luck with the next round of mods. Look forward to pulling bits off the car again at TOTB in future years LOL. RB268 - I assume you are the guy we mwt at KH last weekend when the engine let go right at the end of the day?? We spoke as it was going on the trailer. Hope you got to the bottom of the failure? Cheers Duncan
  3. And as a result............... didn't pay the bill LOL
  4. Minor issue, should be back up and running soon Forgot to pay the Bill...... DOH!!!
  5. Cal - see how you get on. If you can live with it till then fine, if it gets really bad then we could always change the headers and sump at the same time if you like. See how it goes. You have my number if you need anything. Do you still want the ported headers or will I give them to Ciaran????
  6. As always Dunk, I only abuse my own. Yours is in my garage while mine is slumming it on my drive Will take it out and wash it for you before you get home..... if I ever get the time.
  7. A darn good job he did of them too. Cars running sweeeet. I might even break it out for a wash
  8. I can also recomend Wuz. Top guy, great to speak to as well as very good at what he does. He looks after my car and built my car to the spec it is now. He will soon be required for the next stage too. Will not be beaten on price either
  9. What a helpfull post Mr Toad. And this coming from someone that was an RO............. well for all of 5 minutes anyway. Want to elaborate on the "other site" comment???
  10. Well - firstly I can see both sides to this. Turning up at an open day is normally a great way to meet new folk and other members, but like said above you need to wander on in there and introduce your self, even though it can be daunting. AWD - Never been there but I'd guess they were pretty busy. I cant see why they would go out their way not to speak to everyone, its in their best interests to speak to as much people as poss, and secure any possible future buisness. I always find it easier to call and arange an appointment when folk are not bussy if I really want to spend time going over details of stuff I want ordered / fitted. Your more likely to get more 1 on 1 time. ON THE OTHER HAND I can see where he is coming from. My first SIDC meet was a bit awkward, everyone seemed very cleaquey (sp?) and I felt like and outsider (And I am NOT shy LOL) but I went to the next one where there was a smaller turn out and also I arrived early so that I could meet people as they arrived as opposed to walking into a group of folk. BUT The kind of replies to this thread really are not helping to put the situation right are they. Things like posting "EVERYONE" in bold capital wont make the guy think "actually I should have introduced my self" will it?????? And TBH folk should know better. We have all been there as the newbee and its not always easy. If he was in any doubt about staying on here before, he certainly wont now, will he. Just my thoughts on the matter. Duncan
  11. Thats a good price indeed. I just changed from Bell to Keith Michael's due to "a few" mods I'm 27 with 5YNCB and a few points, but in a good post code area std MY97 Catalunya with Bell was £600 moded to 350ish bhp with KM was £600.... but then I added the wife (24) and it went to £700. DOH Still not too bad.
  12. Or you could go for this one....... http://www.dvbuyer.co.uk/details.php?mn=2&...=11&PID=298
  13. White all the way. Even with a solid wheel like the RL7!!!
  14. Either Japerformance or a wee run down to Dastek. Probably the latter.
  15. Yup, I'm the same as Mark. I know what I have now so I only need an afer run. But I'll be going elsewhere for mine.
  16. Aye marc, your nuts are no good!!!!
  17. Not sure how they would look on the silver but here is a set in white. They are for sale too by the way.
  18. Maybee we should post the aberdeen names list as it looks like no-one is going. Also I have a couple raffle prizes sitting in the house.
  19. I'm no expert like, so it might be worth sending an E-Mail to the likes of Andy Forrest, but from memory the standard TD05 has a 90 degree entry that is very restrictive, hence the need for front entry conversion. And if you are doing that, you might as well go for the 18G.
  20. Not really. The TD05 needs converted to front entry first of all. From what I remember:- The 16G should give around 330BHP (with supporting mods obviously). 18G around 360BHP and 20G Just under 400BHP.
  21. Recently looked into this myself, and below are my thoughts / findings. Firstly, I'd think about what you have at the moment. What miles and condition is your engine. They are capable of 400bhp, but obviously will be under more strain, so if the mileage is high or its had a hard life, a rebuild might be a good place to start. Nothing worse than spending out lots of money to get there then the engine breaks. Another aspect is handling and stopping power. Always good to upgrade these first. Not only will they help get the best out of the car, but they are esential for a powerfull car, especially the brakes. If thats all fine then there are several areas to look at. Fueling - Walbro 255 pump, 440cc injectors ( its worth having these cleaned and flow checked), Adjustable Fuel Press Regulator. Breathing - Full De-cat, ported headers / GT spec headers, induction kit Cooling - I'd personally upgrade this, although I have been told that the sti3 is OK for 350bhp. FMIC or some people opt for the STI8 TMIC (A bit of work but allows you to keep the std air intake, just a drop in panel filter required) Turbo - There are a few options for the 350 mark. VF34 or VF35 (STI 8) or TD05 front entry (Worth speaking to Andy) ECU - Apexi Power FC, Also worth looking into a AVCR to compliment this. As above Andy F is the man to map this. There are lots of other bits you can add to the list, but I think thats the essentials covered.
  22. Yup, there are some quick cosworths out there. My mate Rob has a 3-door with only a -31 actuator and stage 1 chip, and he can pull away from my 240bhp classic easily. But being RWD I get my own back in the twisties. [] Its a stunning looking car though.

  24. Being one of the most ltd edition classics available (only 200 made) the Catalunya should hold its value well. The fact that its the only black classic turbo, and given the miles your one has should demand a decent price. Dont give in and sell for peanuts as you will only regret it. I paid just over £5,000 for my Catalunya 1 year ago and it had about 80k on the clock then, standard other than a back box, absolute mint condition and FSSH though. My advice would be to get the car looking good. (proffesional vallet if you dont have time / goods) Then set your price and stick to it!! Poss even add a couple hundred higher so you have room to bargain. [] I wouldn't even consider selling mine for short of £4,500 and I have higher miles than yours. 10 yers old or not, I love the cat, but then I am bias. []
  25. Agreed. Looks like Jenvy TB's to me.Or alpha's. Are you running an Omex?
