  1. Hello folks greetings from Austria!! All is well and Ive seen two wagons so far but no saloons. The beer is good and the woman are beautiful. Havent heard anyone say "Guday!" yet and am having trouble getting a train to Sydney...................... Callum Der Jägermeister
  2. Dont was to pi$$ on your chips but if your car is an import chances are they wont touch it, unless the bodyshop isnt part of the subaru franchais, dont know, but you can only ask I suppose
  3. Ive already lectured him mate, he is a bad boy and the scooby gods will take his wagon away if he isnt quick! (that or Dumbarton council special uplifts!)
  4. Sorry to hear that mate At least noone was hurt (Except your car) I think JVS has a lovely silver 96 STi looking for a good home......... Callum
  5. The 24 mile circuit of "Moi Island!!" (Its moin you know!!) More manx type tarmac than the Nureinburgring but theres many a "Fangio", Marquis, Chav, and wee inexperienced boy in a 1430 mini been pulled out of a field by a John Deere, the farmers silence being bought with the promise of paying for the fence and a bottle of Single Malt. There are 3 other circuits incorporated in this, the 11 mile south circuit, The 8 mile north circuit ( Record 7min 4 sec held by a craggy faced middle aged fellow with a faded tan) including the infamous Balianally Straights where 145 whatever can be reached and the " Full Cresta" being the rollercoaster ride of your life round the 24 miles. Not wanting to draw attention to spirited driving, The Islands finest can be located via a Mobile call and the circuit chosen accordingly. I obviously have no experience of this, its only what Ive heard. Draw your own conclusions...... Callum, High Protector and Guardian of Bute
  6. Well done Cal!!! If you handle the scooby like the type R the day we were on track at KH I can see us having some fun!! (Safe fun of course!!) Callum W
  7. Nail right on the head me old fruiter, JVS have them on their own Impreza, hard to get, hard to talk someone into selling! It really does affect your preformance though, and heavy rims will bugger a fivespeed, any comments Grant? Callum
  8. Buddy Clubs are a nightmare to get, once you have sold your soul for english Gold, you have to wait 6 weeks on a slow boat from China until they arrive. Ultralights have a distributor who has a stock in UK and are more "Weapon to task". Buddy Clubs are for Poofs who like wee Boys!
  9. Yes they are lighter, but gramlights, Ultralights, or Volks e37 are better. You have a six speed which can handle the inertia, but heavy will slow you, in the words of Sir Colin Chapman, founder of Lotus "Light =quick!" Callum, Champion of the Forged Alloy Jap Wheel Companies
  10. Indeed it would my bespeckled friend! People have no idea how much they are slowing thier cars down by putting nice looking, but heavy weighing wheels on. If you like the looks, good on you! But if you get tastey with the loud pedal, your going to consume more petrol to get the same preformance, and slow yourself down a bit, not to mention higher risk of your engine lunching on your gearbox!! Buy liteweight forged alloy jap wheels like rays or Volk if you want big wheels, or stick with lighter 17s if you cant stand 16s. Callum, the wheel Doctor
  11. Cheers Derek! One mistake I have rectified since my rebuild is I have binned any notions of getting chavtastic wheels. What I mean is anything bigger than 17inches. The gearbox in a classic early Impreza is a box designed in the 60s and cut its teeth in the late 70s, so its not designed to deal with the kind of inerta a large, heavy wheel will produce, just shaving 1.5 kg off the weight of each wheel is similar to having 4 blokes get out your car!!! I only became privvy to this info last year and its probably contributes to the death of many a gearbox. Trying to put torque over 300ib/ft with big wheels wont help either. light wheels has made such a difference, Im so glad I sold my heavy ones to Rob in ! Callum
  12. Today, The Millenium Falcon had her first external validation since her rebuild, for those of you who dont catch my drift, I had an STI 7 short motor put into an STI 2, there was much weeping and whailing but it went in and is producing the goods. The map is the old one and she needs mapped again but running 17psi with the front mount, innerwing induction, light pullies, manifold spacers, possumlink, scoobysport group A downpipe, magnex system, knifedged throttlebody, everything ported and matched, cusco suspension front and rear, top and bottom strut braces, brembo brakes, gramlight wheels, this is what dougster had to say..........................................
  13. Roger, have that big chap! What about wiring the plug for the sensor? Callum
  14. You live in the Clyde Tunnel!! Wow! That is soooooo cool!!
  15. Goodevening Folks, Im looking for a bit of advice here. Installing a GM 3 BAR MAP sensor, got the correct plug, but unsure of wiring could someone explain the correct wiring for the GM 3 pin plug. Secondly Im running a Possumlink ECU, Will I have to adjust the ecu before I fire the car up, or will the ecu recognise the 3 bar sensor itself. Cheers Callum W
  16. I have the heebie jeebies. I am shaking like a dog sh****ng peach stones, and have a mouth like a mujahadeen rebels left ammo pouch after a good firefight. What a time!!! Thank god its only once a year. I am going to carry on the motion this evening if any of you dudes would like to join me here on Fantasy island!!! Callum
