Very strange, did the car start straight away?
Maybe an air lock? was the water level full in the header tank & is it full after it's been running, then stood if you know what I mean?

Hi Dave,
Worth checking fans, but as Iain says codes will prove it if it is the sensor
Running from memory now, but sensor located under inlet manifold on drivers side, it's a bit fiddly but can be removed with a socket, check your codes, if needed I'll get a pic of ours tomorrow night
Looking at the previous post it seems the sensor has been changed, wonder if the plug is fully pushed home?

Follow Iain's advise you'll be fine
Had the same symptoms a while ago on our 95UK Turbo, pig to start cold, fine once started or luke warm, turned out to be the engine coolant temperature sensor, ours also had the cooling fans running permanantly, the sensor was telling the ECU the engine was warm when it was cold, stopping the cold start device working
Good luck & hope your soon sorted

Removing the centre cat will be ok & still pass the MOT, if you remove the downpipe cat you will need a remap

Mike that's disgusting, you would have thought given the current climate, no matter which branch of Subaru, they would have wanted the buisiness,
Were undecided as well, keep us informed of your plans

Hi we had the PIAA's on a previous car, they were superb, didn't buy them, already fitted, think the kits were a £500 option originally.
The P1 spot light's are Hella's and in my opinion don't hold a candle to the PIAA's, however you can get HID Hella's but can't see you buying either for £230
Regarding the brackets, would think if you could buy some PIAA brackets they could be converted to suit your Cibies, may be a dealer job, be prepared to sit down when you hear price
From memory they bolt to the bumper with 3 or 4 bolts behind the light on a square plate, maybe you could make some to fit?

Just had a 4 wheel alignmnt done on ours today, now I've only been out for a very small play, the roads are greasy and it's 3 degrees out there
Will feedback later, but it actually feels like the steering is conected to the road now, definitly feels better

AHHAH! Just checked battery terminals, the earth was loose, a wiggle and a tighten up may cure my problem.
Sounds like you've found your problem, easy fix and cheap
